Fantasy EFL Team Reveal for Gameweek 16

Goalkeeper

Lukas Jensen – Millwall – The first player in my team this week is Jensen. The Millwall man has kept a huge five clean sheets in his last seven games, two of those came against the likes of Leeds and Burnley. This week Millwall play Sunderland at home and Portsmouth away, so with clean sheets at The Den in the last three games, and a game against second-bottom, Jensen could have big potential.

Defenders

Harry Souttar – Sheffield United – Next up is Aussie Souttar. Sheffield United play managerless Coventry and Oxford United, who haven’t scored away from home since the start of October. The Sheffield United defender has been one of the best this season. In the last 12 games he has returned less than six points just once. So, in a double-Gameweek, he’s almost guaranteed a double-digit haul.

Marc Roberts – Barnsley – Roberts has impressively returned eight or more points in four of his last five games, whilst also producing a massive 47 clearances. This week Barnsley play Wigan and Reading at home, and home advantage is a big appeal for Roberts to continue his top form.

Jayden Bogle Leeds United – Bogle has had a mixed season, but normally scores well when Leeds are keeping clean sheets. So with Swansea away, a side who have scored once at home in the last three, and Luton at Elland Road, where Leeds have kept four clean sheets in the last five games, he’s back in my team.

Midfielders

Finn Azaz (C) – Middlesbrough – Azaz is my captain this week and deservingly so, as if you take away the game where he got subbed off due to tactical reasons after a red card, he has managed 45 points in the last four games. His 19-pointer last week displays just how explosive he can be. Middlesbrough face Oxford and Blackburn this week, two opponents they should beat.

Willum Willumsson (VC) – Birmingham City – A player in my team for the first time this season. Willumsson has had a steady season so far. In the last 10 matches he has scored five or more points in nine of them. He could also be good cover for the likes of Alfie May and Jay Stansfield.

Forward

Nathan Lowe – Walsall – Lowe, at just 19-years-old, has set League Two alight so far this season. In fact, he has amassed a huge seven goals and four assists. With goal contributions in seven of his last eight games, he’s in excellent form going into fixtures against Wimbledon and Bromley. Both sides have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last three games, which Lowe could take advantage of.

Team Selections

  • Stoke City – The first team I have selected is Stoke, and for the first time this season. With only one loss in eight games, Stoke are in great form. This week Stoke play QPR and Preston, two teams who have failed to win any of their last five games. At a minimum Stoke should get two draws, but I have a feeling they could get much more.
  • Bolton Wanderers – Bolton is another team I am selecting for the first time this season. Although they have seen two losses in their last five games, it has been against two teams currently in the top four. In addition, during their five games, they banked three wins. Playing two sides this week in the bottom eight of the league, Bolton should win both.
