Expert Differentials for Gameweek 9
In this article we take a look at some FPL expert differentials for Gameweek 9. At the same time @FBLThinker, @FPL_ElStatto, @FplRabbi, @FplShakenbake and @FPLReaction battle it to see who can earn the title ‘Differential King’.
Differentials are players who have low ownership. This means that if those players are successful then they could significantly boost both your rank and mini-league position. This is exactly why differentials are such an important part of the game.
Note: All ownership stats are likely to change.
@FPL_ElStatto
“Bernardo Silva – 5.2% ownership – £6.5m – Manchester City – At home to Southampton where I expect a comfortable home victory. He’s currently underperforming against xG and xA but this week could very well be the week he provides a return”.
@FplRabbi
“Phil Foden – 6.5% ownership – £9.2m – Manchester City – Although he failed to start the previous match, I’d still back him to get a return vs Southampton, even from the bench, like he did vs Wolves”.
@FplShakenbake
“James Maddison – 6.7% ownership – £7.6m – Tottenham – I’m expecting a big performance from Maddison after his surprise substitution at half time last week. He’s currently third in terms of xGI this season, behind only Mo Salah and Cole Palmer, and Spurs take on a hapless looking Crystal Palace side”
@FBLThinker
“Mikkel Damsgaard – 0.3% ownership – £5m – Brentford – He has two attacking returns in last two matches. Brentford play newly promoted Ipswich at home which is a favourable fixture for Damsgaard to continue his form”.
@FPLReaction
“Yona Wissa – 2.1% ownership – £5.9% – Returning from injury last week was Wissa who managed four returns in his first four matches of the season. I think he can take advantage of the fact that Ipswich have conceded more big chances than any other side this season so far.
Gameweek 8 Scoring
- @FPL_ElStatto – He picked Phil Foden last week. The Manchester City midfielder failed to start the previous match but came on registered an assist. That helped him to hit four points against Wolves.
- @FplRabbi – Dwight McNeil was his selection in Gameweek 8. Everton beat Ipswich 2-0 and McNeil banked six points for his assist.
- @FplShakenbake – Ipswich’s failure to score any goals against Everton meant Liam Delap picked up just two points.
- @FBLThinker – He went for James Maddison last week. Tottenham dismantled West Ham in their 4-1 win and Maddison managed four points after banking an assist.
- @FPLReaction – It was another disappointing week for Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Although his side won 2-0 he failed to contribute, so took away just two points.
