Club World Cup Fantasy 2025: Chelsea Best Picks, Predicted Line-up and Team Overview

Club World Fantasy 2025 is here! Continuing with our team previews, we take a look at the Chelsea best picks, predicted line-up and team overview.
Knowing how a team could line-up and their best assets could be absolutely key for success in Club World Cup Fantasy, so let’s dive into it.
Team Overview

Chelsea qualified for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup by winning the UEFA Champions League in the 2020–21 season. They beat Manchester City 1–0 in the final, with Kai Havertz scoring the only goal of the match. That Champions League victory earned them a direct spot in the newly expanded 32-team Club World Cup.
The Blues had a successful season overall – winning the Europa Conference League and securing fourth in the Premier League, guaranteeing them Champions League football for the 2025-26 campaign.
Recent form has been very good from Chelsea considering who they came up against. Chelsea won five of their previous six matches – picking up wins against Liverpool and Nottingham Forest. In that period Chelsea netted 10 goals, conceded four and kept three clean sheets.
Group and Fixtures
Chelsea meet with CR Flamengo (BRA), Espérance Sportive de Tunis (TUN), and LAFC (USA) in Group D.

Their schedule is as follows:
- Matchday 1 – LAFC
- Matchday 2 – Flamengo
- Matchday 3 – Esperance
Chelsea head into their match against LAFC as heavy favourites, even with LAFC playing at home.
The Blues then face their toughest match of the group stage against Flamengo, one they are still expected to edge.
They complete their group stage fixtures versus Esperance, which looks set to be their most comfortable win of the campaign.

Top Picks
Chelsea proved they had defensive potential towards the end of their recent campaign, so it could be worth buying into their backline.
With rumours of a new goalkeeper coming in, Robert Sanchez (€5.3m) may hold some risk. One of the most nailed defender in terms of gametime could be centre-back Levi Colwill (€5.3m). Colwill does lack attacking threat but he has less than 5% ownership, which could mean the potential to pick up an extra two points.
The most attacking option is of course Reece James (€5.8m). However, injuries have plagued his gametime, which could imply risk when selecting him.

Chelsea have more than shown the are capable of scoring goals – maintaining a top three attack when compared to every other side in the Premier League last season.
The best of the bunch in attack is of course penalty taker Cole Palmer (€9.6m). The 23-year-old hit 15 goals and eight assists in his 37 Premier League outings during the 2024/25 season, but he was also instrumental in their recent trophy win against Real Betis – assisting twice in a 4-1 victory.
With Chelsea being super active in the transfer window, there is no telling how secure striker Nicolas Jackson’ (€7.4m) minutes are, espcially with the arrival of Liam Delap from Ipswich. For that reason, avoiding him and focusing on wingers and in-game midfielders Pedro Neto (€6.5m) and Noni Madueke (€6.5m). Both could be great alternative options to talisman Palmer.
