Bundesliga Fantasy 22/23 highest point scorers

Last modified date

The final balls have been kicked in the Bundesliga and the season has come to its close. For that reason, we take a look back at the Bundesliga Fantasy 22/23 highest point scorers. So, who makes the list this season?

After a whirlwind season in Bundesliga Fantasy, we turn our focus to the 22/23 highest point scorers. Highlighting the best assets could be very helpful to managers moving forward. As some managers will look to enjoy the break some could be putting a shortlist of players to include in their 23/24 teams.

1. Jonas Hoffmann

Starting off with Hoffmann, he amassed 312 points this season, more than any other player. While he was notorious for hauling after being sold by many, he managed to rack up a whopping 21 goals and assists in 31 games. The German’s impressive form saw him called up for Germany’s World Cup squad, and it will be intriguing to see what club he plays for in the 2023/24 season.

2. Randal Kolo Muani

After defeating Rangers to win the Europa League, Frankfurt had secured Champions League qualification, which granted them greater funds to attract more players. Frankfurt wanted a new striker, and instead of dropping millions on a player, they picked up Kolo Muani from Nantes on a free, and he proved to be an unbelievable bargain.

The Frenchman got 15 goals and 11 assists in 31 games and amassed 307 points, making him the top scoring striker for the 22/23 season. Kolo Muani was also called up for the World Cup and was a mainstay in a lot of managers’ teams this season.

3. Jude Bellingham

The former Birmingham midfielder was just five points shy off Hoffmann’s total after another outstanding season. He picked up 12 G/A and amassed 307 points. While his future is uncertain, Bundesliga managers who owned Bellingham will certainly have fond memories of the Englishman in their teams.

4. Jeremie Frimpong

The former Celtic man had an outstanding campaign in his second full season with Bayer Leverkusen. His 305 points is the highest of any defender in the 22/23 season and is currently in 69% of managers teams. His point total was boosted by his attacking prowess, as he would commonly drift far up the pitch to either contribute an assist or score a goal. Frimpong’s future at Leverkusen is also uncertain, but his form is undeniable.

5. Christopher Nkunku

Despite being limited to only 20 starts, Nkunku still managed 16 goals and four assists, picking up 298 points. His average score of 12 points per mattch is the highest in the entire game. If he was fit for all 34 games, he would’ve racked up 408 points and would’ve been the highest scoring player by a fair distance this season. He picked up 410 points in the 21/22 season, proving that this wasn’t a fluke and he is a superb fantasy asset.

6. Vincenzo Grifo

The Italian had an impressive season with Freiburg, picking up 15 goals and five assists. His 296 points is the fourth highest of any midfielder, just two shy of Nkunku. Managers will be particularly fond of his hat trick vs. Union Berlin just before the World Cup break. Grifo was also boosted by being on penalties. He took eight and scored seven, more than any other Bundesliga player.

7. Dominik Szoboszlai

The Hungarian managed 14 goals and assists for a Leipzig side who managed to finish third. Dominik Szoboszlai’s average of 10 points per game made him a safe pick throughout the season. His points total of 295 is one point shy of Grifo’s total. While he never managed more than two goal contributions in any game, it was his style of play that greatly supports the point scoring system and subsequently made him a great pick, even when he didn’t score or assist.

8. Jamal Musiala

Despite Bayern’s inconsistencies, they still managed to pick up yet another Bundesliga title, and Musiala is to thank for that as his goal vs Köln on MD34 sealed the title. Musiala managed 22 goals and assists, only bettered by Kolo Muani this season, and 293 points, making him the second highest scoring forward. He was predominantly in most teams for the first couple of months. However, his ownership fell to just 19% by MD34.
