Best Differentials for Gameweek 37

For FPL managers that need a late boost up the rankings and mini-leagues, there are some exciting Double Gameweek 37 differentials. With the help of Fantasy Football Scout’s members area, here are the best ones.

Template squads cover the essential players who are having a brilliant season. But there’s some real skill in predicting which less-fancied players are about to haul massively.

We define a differential as someone with under 10% overall ownership.

Noni Madueke (£5.3m, 0.6% owned)

Mentioned in last week’s article too, Chelsea’s Madueke has started six successive league games and delivered three goals, two assists and six bonuses in that time.

He was particularly outstanding on Sunday against West Ham. As well as having seven shots for himself – six inside the box – he also set up a half-dozen for team-mates.

If the well-chosen Bruno Fernandes (£8.5m) remains absent for Double Gameweek 37, Madueke could be an excellent differential for those squads needing a late push up the rankings and mini-leagues. However, the main obstacle is that many active managers have already reached the maximum of three Chelsea assets.

Bruno Guimaraes (£5.8m, 3.0% owned)

Another team fighting for a top-seven finish is Newcastle, the team ranked fourth for goals (78) and second for big chances (118) over the whole campaign.

Bruno Guimaraes is a vital, nailed-on part of Eddie Howe’s line-up and has emerged with three goals in five matches. This includes strikes in the latest couple versus Sheffield United and Burnley.

What makes him an attractive alternative to Anthony Gordon (£6.4m) is that five of Guimaraes’ six goals took place in away games, where two-thirds of their remaining outings take place. Meanwhile, just four of Gordon’s 26 returns have occurred when not at St James’ Park.

Simon Adingra (£5.0m, 0.5% owned)

Brighton will have a big say in whether Newcastle, Chelsea or Man United get those European spots. In order, they are the Seagulls’ final three opponents.

Exciting winger Adingra is a usefully cheap player to own on a Bench Boost. He was superb at home to Aston Villa when setting up five chances, including big ones for Pascal Gross (£6.1m) and Joao Pedro (£5.2m).

Alongside this was four shots on target. In fact, the Ivorian would’ve ended with an assist, had Pedro not missed the penalty that he won.

Manuel Akanji (£5.0m, 5.5% owned)

Finally, a defender from relentless Man City. Now that both Kyle Walker (£5.4m) and Josko Gvardiol (£5.1m) exceed 10% ownership, centre-back Akanji is named because he’s started 11 of their latest 13 league games. No other defender has more than nine.

Not that he’s safe from ‘Pep Roulette’, of course. But the fact that the title race is set to last all the way until Gameweek 38 should be beneficial.

After Arsenal, they’ve conceded the fewest goals (33), shots on target (101), big chances (56) and expected goals (33.72). Furthermore, no side has allowed fewer attempts (280).
