Best Chelsea Players from Gameweek 30 and onwards

In this article we take a look at the best Chelsea players from Gameweek 30 and onwards. To do this we head over to the Fantasy Football Scout Members area to utilise its amazing fixture ticker and underlying stats.

Chelsea are coming into an interesting run of fixtures and some of their assets are gaining some serious appeal within the community. Because of that knowing who the best players from Gameweek 30 and onwards are could be extremely beneficial.

The Chelsea Fixtures

The fixture ticker suggests that Chelsea have a better schedule than any other side in the league over the next four Gameweeks. The Blues also come up against two of three promoted sides, Burnley and Sheffield United in the next three matches.

What the fixture ticker does not display is that Chelsea are also very likely to have a Double Gameweek against Aston Villa and Brighton in 34 and another one in Gameweek 37 against Nottingham Forest and Arsenal/Tottenham.

The fixtures are fantastic for Chelsea but which players should we back?

Goalkeepers

Some may look to the Chelsea goalkeepers, a position that has caused some frustration for FPL managers this season.

There has been some rotation between both Dorde Petrovic (£4.5m) and Robert Sanchez (£4.5m). However, that’s due to the latter being out of action with an injury. What is interesting is that even with Robert Sanchez’ return, Dorde Petrovic continues to start every league match, whilst Sanchez starts the Cup games.

Based on the pattern above and Petrovic’ recent performances it seems the Serbian could take a long-term position between the sticks.

Defenders

Those looking to invest in the Chelsea defence, look no further. Firstly we should take a look into their minutes this season and discover which of them is the most reliable.

We can see from the graphic above that centre-back Axel Disasi (£4.9m) has both started more games and played more minutes than any of his defensive teammates. Disasi has also started the last 10 league matches for his side which highlights his reliability even more.

Both Thiago Silva (£5m) and Levi Colwill (£4.7m) are also high on the list but have failed to make it into the starting XI in any of Chelsea’ last four matches.

Right-back Malo Gusto (£4.2m) ranks fourth for minutes. He has been starting every game for the Blues recently due to the long-term injury of Reece James (£5.3m).

We also compared the same defenders from an attacking point of view.

We can see that leading his teammates for goals and assists is Malo Gusto with five. Axel Disasi joins some of his other teammates with two.

Attackers

We now put our focus towards the attackers using the same process to compare.

We can see that Raheem Sterling (£6.9m) has played more minutes and started more games than any other attacker. Not far behind him and leading the Chelsea frontline is Nicolas Jackson (£6.8m) with 20 starts and 1832 minutes.

Making the top three for gametime is Cole Palmer (£5.7m). Palmer seems to be indispensable to his side recently.

When comparing their actual attacking output, Cole Palmer is well clear of his teammates with 19 goals and assists. Behind him in second is Nicolas Jackson with 12 and following him is Raheem Sterling with six.

The Best Chelsea Players from Gameweek 30 and onwards

Based on minutes and attacking threat above we can conclude that the safest long-term defensive option is Axel Disasi. However, in the short-term both Dorde Petrovic and Malo Gusto could be excellent options.

Offensively the standout option is of course Cole Palmer. Nicolas Jackson could also be a very good option if you have space in your frontline.
