Secondly, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline is at 11:00am (GMT) on Saturday 12 March.

Strong Fixtures

Everton

Of the six sides with a Double Gameweek, it comes with reluctancy to say that struggling Everton have the best pair of fixtures. Whilst home matches versus Wolves and Newcastle look good, the current state of the Toffees won’t fill FPL managers with confidence. Appealing FPL assets are at a minimum, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin either doesn’t play or doesn’t score. Furthermore, just one clean sheet has been kept in 13 league matches. In midfield, perhaps the most reliable option is cheap £4.5m man Anthony Gordon.

Southampton

Of those with one match, it’s hard to look beyond Southampton’s home match with Watford. Losing 4-0 at Aston Villa was a shock and perhaps a concern for FPL managers but the previous two at St Mary’s brought both wins and clean sheets. Watford have won once in over three months and have failed to score in five of their last eight games. Therefore, defensive assets like Tino Livramento and Jan Bednarek are backed to get returns, with James Ward-Prowse, Armando Broja and Che Adams further upfield.
