Notes

  • I’ve been on this draft for the last couple of days.
  • The captaincy decision is between Osimhen and Salah.
  • Osimhen is my main guy in attack but I really like Mohamed and Daka at their price range.
  • I’m happy with the balance in midfield, two premiums with Msakni and Kamory Doumbia that could offer great value.
  • Defence looks pretty decent as well, a player each from all those defences I consider the most solid.
  • I’m tempted by En Nesyri in attack as well but that would require a switch to 442 to not sacrifice anyone in midfield, something I’ll be considering until deadline.

Notes

  • After Boniface’ injury, Osimhen is locked in my team.
  • There is no change with Salah, Msakni, Hakimi and En-Nesyri.
  • After following some friendly games, I am rooting for double Algeria defence, Bensebaini who is very attacking and Atal who is the cheapest.
  • Senegal for sure are favourites so I have got Jacobs but cannot find enough money to get Mane. Other than Mane any player can get a return, rolling dice for budget so it’s a bit of risk for me.
  • Egypt are clear favourites this week woth Mozambique struggling in defence as well. I have gone for Salah and a surprise pick, another in form guy, Trezeguet.
  • For Morocco, I did not change the double of Msakni and En-Nesyri. I think En-Nesyri can become the top scorer easily. Msakni can get a return anytime as well.
  • From Cote d’İvoire I have their keeper as they are pretty good defensively.
  • I have some good bench options actually, last AFCON’ surprise package Gustavo Sangare for example.
  • My plan is to use the WC next week as many favourites are playing against each other.

@FPL_Maxime

Notes

  • I am focused on getting penalty takers (five) and players from Morocco and Algeria as I expect them to get nine points.
  • Tunisia’s defence is the best in Africa in my opinion so I am hoping for a couple clean sheets.
  • My cheap players (Vozinha, Sylla and Bikoro) have all a great MD2 fixture and they could maybe start then for me.
  • I got Kamory in after Mali scored six goals against Guinea Bissau (another AFCON team) which was really impressive.
  • I’m not 100% sure on Ziyech. He isn’t 100% fit and could maybe miss MD1 but I like him a lot because he has a great MD1 and 2 fixture since Congo aren’t close to Morocco’s level.
  • All of the other expensive midfielders are also not 100% fit or not 100% nailed.
  • Kessie is my favourite alternative but I wouldn’t know what to do with the 2.5M I get from it. Maybe I will just hold it for a MD2 transfer, I’m not sure yet.

@FantasyHalf

Notes

  • Goalkeeper – Since my last draft it’s become knowledge that we get a 4.5 goalkeeper from one of the favourites so Said comes in and Jobe as the favoured backup.
  • Defence – There is no change from my draft, just risking playing one of the 4m’.
  • Midfield – I went Mahrez over Ziyech in the end and brought in Kamory after some glowing reports online.
  • Forwards – Osimhen stays but Daka comes in over Haller, I like what I’ve seen from him in friendlies.
  • Amoura sits on bench for GW2. It’s the reason I don’t need to waste a transfer going 352 this week and can access or get rid of any non starters with my transfers rather than having one penned in.

@sami_zeghdoud

Notes

  • There is not too many modifications from my first draft.
  • I brought in Kessie who’s going to be vital for his side in the absence of Haller. He’s also expected to be on penalties instead of Krasso up front with a move to 442 formation.
  • The strategy remains the same investing in defenders from big teams. For captaincy I decided to go with Salah who’s going to be popular In MD1.

@PopoFpl

Notes

  • Out of the four main premium picks I prefer all of the mids to Osimhen.
  • Iheanacho is in as Osimhen cover.
  • Amoura is ready for GW2.
  • I am taking a risk with Msakni who might not start but started and scored in their recent friendly.
  • Vozinha and Nouh are the best 4.0 picks at their positions.
  • There are a few players that may change due to the Ivory Coast line-up being published before the deadline.

@FPL_Beery

Notes

  • Ben-Said is the best GK at 4.5 and covers the Tunisia Defence vs Namibia Mali and RSA.
  • A defender from Algeria Morocco and Egypt – all a must.
  • Ait-Nouri is a hidden gem.
  • Chepeshi is cheap fodder and Nsue is a potential OOP.
  • The midfield picks itself: Salah and Mahrez, all on pens.
  • Msakni, Kessie, Kamory are cheaper mids expected to do well and talismans for their country.
  • I am nervous not owning Mane but we can’t own them all.
  • Osimhen is another in the Salah and Mahrez bracket, must own.
  • Daka has been in nearly every draft. I have got a feeling Zambia could shock a few.
  • I don’t know who my 4.5 fwd is he’s just there for the ride.
