Notes
- It’s a new season, new game, and a new team, but I’m ready for it!
- After a couple of days of tinkering, this is my latest draft for the first Gameweek.
- Pricing was very tough, but I managed to squeeze in most elements. That includes attacking teams like Atalanta and Napoli short term.
- I am very pleased with my midfield, with a lot of attacking threat and penalty potential. But, as a consequence my forward line could need some improvement.
- I am a little bit scared of rotation between Lucca and Scamacca. This is because Napoli are on the hunt for a main striker to replace the injured Lukaku, while Atalanta have just bought Krstovic. So, I don’t really know whether Scamacca is as nailed as I would want. I could easily move them to a Roma forward (Soule/Ferguson if he starts) and/or Milan’s Gimenez (although Boniface is joining the rossoneri as I write this).
- I’m doubling up on Atalanta’s backline as they have great fixtures and I am hopeful Juric will improve them defensively.
- Both of my goalkeepers should start, so I am able to switch between them during the Gameweek itself (at least until Gameweek 7 when Okoye will be back as the main Udinese goalie).
- Captaincy will be on Lucca or Camarda to start (Lucca is better, but I am a Milan fan and I would love for Camarda to score), and in case of necessity will be moved mainly between Pulisic, Dele-Bashiru, Yildiz, with Sava as my last ditch hope.
- Short digression regarding chip strategy/blanks: If everything goes according to plan, the Supercup will take place around the third weekend of December, leaving four blanks in Gameweek 16 and causing four doubles around Gameweeks 20-21, as long as Sofascore treat them like in FPL. This should allow us to be flexible with our chips. We’ve been given one WC for each half of the season, so with the doubles being likely on the first Gameweek available for the use of the second WC one could either use his first one in GW19 or resort to playing their second one in GW20 if they had to play the first one earlier on.
