Best Goalkeepers in FPL 2025/26

Your FPL season can live or die by the consistency of the player between the sticks. Pick the right one, and you’ll rack up clean sheets, save points, and bonus – all without breaking the bank. This guide to the best goalkeepers in FPL 2025/26 looks at the shot-stoppers with the perfect mix of fixtures, form, and value to help you lock in a reliable No.1 for the season ahead.

Robert Sanchez

Best Goalkeepers in FPL 2025/26

Chelsea weren’t exactly the most convincing defence in the league last season, but they still ranked among the top seven sides for total clean sheets kept. That was also the case with metrics like total shots in the box conceded and total shots on target conceded.

The Blues also impressed in their recent Club World Cup with – managing four clean sheets in just seven games. Between the sticks during that period was Robert Sanchez (£5m), who could be an excellent long-term option this season.

Mats Sels

Best Goalkeepers in FPL 2025/26

2024-25 was a brilliant season for Nottingham Forest – finishing seventh in the league and four points off the top four. They were also very strong defensively – collecting the joint most clean sheets and ranking second best overall for big chances conceded.

We could well see a similar season from Nottingham Forest, more so from a defensive perspective. Two of their standout defensive options come in at £5.5m, but Matz Sels is one of the cheapest routes into Nuno Santos’s backline.

Everything you need for the Gameweek is in our Essential Guide!

David Raya

Only one other side managed more clean sheets than Arsenal last season. The Gooners sustained one of the best defences in the league statistically – ranking first for total goals conceded, first for total shots in the box conceded and top for total shots on target conceded.

After a summer of clever investments, many expect Arsenal to continue that type of form. Standout options at the back Gabriel and William Saliba both come in at £6m, where-as David Raya between the sticks just £5.5m – making him one of the cheapest routes into the London sides defence.

Bart Verbruggen

Best Goalkeepers in FPL 2025/26

Brighton have been questionable at the back recently. In fact, last season the Seagulls kept just eight clean sheets during their 2024-25 Premier League season. Considering they are a side who regularly finish in the top 10, we could expect better from them this time around.

What appeals the most about the Brighton defence is the price-tags of their defensive assets. Finding a £4.5m goalkeeper option playing for a decent side is a tough task for FPL managers with the new pricing system, which is gives Bart Verbruggen (£4.5m) most of his appeal.

More Great Picks

There appears to be several great goalkeepers for the season ahead, including:

  • Alisson Becker (Liverpool – £5.5m)
  • Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace – £5m)
  • Bernd Leno (Fulham – £5m)
  • Nick Pope (Newcastle – £5m)
