Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 12 Top Picks
The new season of German League football continues! So, we take a look at the Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 12 top picks. Bundesliga Fantasy expert and regular contributor @Big4FPL reveals three of the best defenders, midfielders and forwards for the new round.
The Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 12 top picks can be extremely useful for managers. With lots of changes to the game this season it could be difficult to adjust for managers. But the following top picks can help you bring clarity to some of the decisions you have to make ahead of the deadline.
Top picks – Defenders – Nnamdi Collins (4m – 7%)
I had Brown in my picks last week, but actually ended up on 4m Collins for the extra 1m – which paid off with a 223 point return. I’m backing him again as one of the best budget enablers in the game for an in-form Frankfurt team.
Dayot Upamecano – (12m – 35%)
This may seem a strange pick away to Dortmund, but with Dortmund in strange form, suffering from injuries and not looking convincing, I think this could be a match that Upamecano hoovers up duals and continues to average over 200 points a game.
Eric Smith (8m – 3%)
I’ve been a beneficiary and victim of the hope of Eric Smith this season – he’s a set piece taking centre back which should result in him being a great asset, but it hasn’t quite clicked in place in delivering. A game against Kiel gives Eric a prime chance to prove he can deliver in the price range he is in.
Midfielders – Paul Nebel (6m – 2%)
A 3% owned starter for Mainz with prime fixtures? Similar to my other pick Bischof, I see no reason not to have one of these cheaper players in your team who are delivering premium asset returns. Nebel is an attacking midfielder, so really brings explosive potential at a cheap-as-chips price.
Chris Führich (14m – 2%)
Fuhrich was almost a must have for large parts of last season but this season has really not been able to live up to that same level – in fact he has largely been anonymous. However, recent games have shown some improvement and with Stuttgart still looking solid I can see him as a decent differential if he repeats last seasons performance again.
Tom Bischof (5m – 23%)
Regularly included in my picks, I’m going to keep calling Bischof out until his ownership is over 30%….at 5m you will not find better value to utilize the Bundesliga auto sub rules and have someone with a floor of 100+ points to jump in when something inevitably goes wrong elsewhere in your midfield. Last matchday he proved this with a 300+ point haul, more than Musiala, so if you’re not part of the 23%, why not?
Strikers – Jonathan Burkardt (10m – 3%)
Following on from my previous Mainz picks, Burkardt has averaged over 180 points this season and has a prime fixture again off the back of a strong performance vs Kiel. At 10m, he offers a nice low budget alternative to the Kane/Marmoush template or even is a decent third striker option if opting for some of the cheap midfielders I have listed.
Phil Harres (3m – 4%)
The cheapest starting striker in the game, need I say more? Well if I add that we get Friday team news AND it’s against another recently promoted team, then I think that surely is enough justification. With the auto sub rules in Bundesliga Fantasy, Harres is a perfect bench support player rather than a 1m dud.
Patrik Schick (14m – 1%)
It looks like Boniface may be missing for another week, so getting Leverkusen’ striker off the back of goals in consecutive games seems like a strong play. He comes at a relatively pricey tag but if you can find the funds he has huge upside at 1% ownership for a top team in the league.
