Bundesliga Fantasy 24/25: Who Has The Best Starting Fixtures?

Bundesliga Fantasy 24/25 is just around the corner so we begin our coverage for the new season right here. Our expert manager and contributor @FPLGunnersaurus comes in to reveal the teams with the best fixtures to start the season.

With Bundesliga Fantasy 24/25 approaching, taking a look at the teams with the best start to the season could be hugely beneficial when it comes to planning. Playing the fixtures can be the difference to starting the new season poorly and starting the new season successfully.

Introduction

Bundesliga players are currently lighting up the 2024 European Championship in Germany leading the way for the most goals scored by talents from any league. We may be in the Bundesliga Fantasy off-season but fixtures for the 2024-2025 season have been released. With the game rumoured to launch shortly we take a look at the teams to target early on.

FC Bayern München

It probably comes as no surprise that last season’s third place club feature on this list. But, based on their first four league fixtures Die Bayern should top the tree after the first calendar month of action:

  • Vfl Wolfsburg (A)
  • SC Freiburg (H)
  • Holstein Kiel (A)
  • SV Werder Bremen (A)

Despite three of their first four fixtures coming away from home it should be plain sailing under the leadership of new Bayern boss Vincent Kompany. None of their upcoming opponents featured in last season’s top eight and on MD3 they travel to Kiel who were promoted after finishing runners-up in the 2. Bundesliga last season.

Fantasy favourites such as Kane, Musiala and Davies will surely feature in a lot of teams. However, perhaps new transfers like Olise can shine too in the early season.

VfB Stuttgart

It remains to be seen what squad Stuttgart have come the start of the new season. Defender Ito has already left for Bayern, it looks like Dortmund are set to trigger the release clauses of Anton and the Guinean goal machine Guirassy imminently and his strike partner from last season Undav may not be coming back to the MHPArena.

That said some decent early season fixtures could provide us with some new Stuttgart stars:

  • SC Freiburg (A)
  • 1. FSV Mainz 05 (H)
  • Borussia Mönchengladbach (A)
  • Borussia Dortmund (H)

The Borussia Dortmund tie at home could prove tricky but Die Schwaben did beat them twice at home last season, once in the league and once in the Pokal. Players that look set to stay and could feature in our fantasy squads include German internationals Mittelstädt and Führich. Woltemade, their new striker signed from Werder Bremen, may well take up the mantle soon to be left by Guirassy.

Borussia Dortmund

Despite a tricky away tie on MD4 at Stuttgart Die Schwarzgelben simply have to be included on this list due to some tasty early home fixtures:

  • Eintracht Frankfurt (H)
  • SV Werder Bremen (A)
  • 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 (H)
  • VfB Stuttgart (A)

It has been all change at Dortmund this summer with Nuri Şahin taking over the head coach position. In addition it looks like a flurry of new players will be arriving with the likes of Anton, Cherki and Guirassy highly likely to join the famous club.

Given a couple of early home fixtures fantasy managers will want to ensure they have some black and yellow coverage. Club talisman Brandt had an off season last year as Dortmund, despite the UCL run, had a very poor league campaign but will be hoping to bounce back.

Beyond these four fixtures Dortmund host Bochum and travel to Union Berlin before the first likely unlimited transfers window so can be held on to instead of using precious transfers on.

Mainz 05

Mainz were able to stave off relegation last season with some superb late season form following a managerial change which saw Dane Bo Henriksen take the helm. As like Dortmund above they have one tricky fixture in their first four. But, they also have two nice fixtures following their first four taking them up until the first unlimited transfers window of the season:

  • 1. FC Union Berlin (H)
  • VfB Stuttgart (A)
  • SV Werder Bremen (H)
  • FC Augsburg (A)

Following those ties they host Heidenheim and travel to newly promoted St.Pauli. Die Nullfünfer may be the early season team fantasy managers target for budget enablers. The likes of Mwene, Lee, Burkardt and Gruda all spring to mind as players that will be able in that mid-priced bracket. A couple of these players will for sure help managers afford those higher-end premium options elsewhere.
