Gameweek 38 Best Free Hit Team

Using Plan FPL we can use one of its fantastic tools to plan transfers weeks in advance. Not just this, but we can also create team drafts to plan for using a chip. Take a look at the best free hit team for Gameweek 38:

Goalkeeper

Arsenal have been excellent defensively this season and a home match on the final day is a great opportunity to add to their clean sheet total. Because of this David Raya (£5.2m) could be a great inclusion.

Defenders

Everton rank amongst the worst sides in the league for goals scored this season. Taking that into account doubling up on the Arsenal defence with Gabriel (£5.4m) could be hugely rewarding. Gabriel can also be a serious goal threat in the oppositions box.

Tottenham may not be one of the most defensively sound teams in the league, far from it in fact. But, they face the worst team in the league on the final day which could indicate clean sheet potential. Even if the clean sheet isn’t there Pedro Porro (£5.9m) has multiple routes to points. His recent goal and the fact he has had more attempts on goal than any other defender is reflective of that.

Manchester City have been much better defensively recently – keeping three clean sheets in their last four league matches. As well as clean sheet potential Josko Gvardiol (£5.1m) seems to be on an unstoppable run of attacking form. In fact, Gvardiol has produced four goals in his last five matches.

Midfielders

Finishing the campaign off with Phil Foden (£8.5m) makes sense. When it comes to recent output Foden has amassed a huge 50 points in his last four starts. A home match against West Ham is a good chance to add to his season tally of 17 goals and eight assists.

It’s a must win game for Arsenal this week as they make one final challenge for the title. Their most influential player is penalty taker Bukayo Saka (£8.9m). Saka has picked up two double-digit hauls in his last three matches so goes into the fixture in great form.

Buying a Tottenham attacker could be considered essential this week. Sheffield United lay ahead, the worst defence in the league. To target the already relegated Blades, penalty taker Son Heung-Min (£10m) remains the standout option.

There is no stopping Cole Palmer (£6.3m) this season. The 21-year-old is one of few players who have accumulated more than 40+ attacking returns this season. Taking penalties and in fine form, Palmer could be a crucial addition this week.

Forwards

Doubling up on the Chelsea attack could be hugely beneficial this week. Not only have they scored at least two goals in nine of their last 10 matches but they face a poor Bournemouth defence next up. So, Nicolas Jackson (£7m) could be a top addition. Jackson seems to be gaining momentum after banking five goals and three assists in his last six matches.

Newcastle have scored at least four goals in three of their last five matches. Their impressive scoring tally makes them extremely appealing this week against Brentford. Leading the attack is Alexander Isak (£8.4m) who has managed eight goals and one assist in his last eight games.

Completing the front three this week is of course Erling Haaland (£14.2m). Haaland’ recent 21-point haul is enough to show both how explosive he can be and how damaging excluding him can be. The Norwegian could well be the standout captaincy option as well this week.
