Serie A Fantasy Round 31 Expert Team Reveal

Here we bring in one of our regular contributors and seasoned managers to provide you with his Serie A Fantasy Round 31 expert team reveal. @FplRossoneri is back to reveal his team and share his plans around transfers and captaincy.

With Serie A Fantasy Round 31 on the horizon it could be hugely beneficial to catch up with our expert. His knowledge and decisions could be extremely enlightening to other fantasy managers. This same knowledge could help bring clarity to some of the choices we have to make in our own teams.

Introduction

Welcome back to my GW31 team reveal for Serie A Fantasy. Here, I pen down my thoughts about the team, my transfers if any, and my captain for each upcoming GW.

Now, let us look at my GW30 team first. There I ended up with 71 points with a GW average of 58 points. It was a small green arrow that took me from 367th to 335th worldwide and still 3rd in Germany after GW30. I would also like to congratulate my good friend @FPLToni. He currently sits at OR 1 in Serie A Fantasy Global league after this Gameweek.

Moving ahead, GW31 has some nice games for the likes of Inter, Milan, Torino and Bologna.

Round 31 Team Reveal (subject to change)

Goalkeepers

  • Yann Sommer (€5.8m) – Sommer is back in goal after missing out completely as Inzaghi decided not to risk him for the game vs Empoli. He still sits atop the list of GKs with the most points after GW30 with 11 double-digit hauls to boast in just 30 GWs. Inter have yet another easy fixture on paper playing Udinese in GW31. So, I do expect them to come away with a win and Sommer getting some good points. He is still only owned by 28% of managers and if you are still looking for a solid GK until the end of the season then Sommer is your guy.

Defenders

  • Gleison Bremer (€6m) – My first defender in GW31 will be Bremer from Juventus. He still sits at the top of the defenders list with 216 points. Juventus have some tough fixtures coming up. But, Bremer could bring in a lot of points during this period. In the recent fixtures, they have been in relegation form so one can only hope that does not get any worse after yet another loss at the hands of Lazio this time in GW30.
  • Theo Hernandez (€7.2m) – One of my favourite players to watch in Serie A is Theo for the explosiveness he brings to the pitch from a LB position. At the moment Theo only has five goals and three assists this season but he’s again coming into form from the last few seasons. Theo should be back for Milan after his suspension in GW30. Milan will play Lecce in GW31 and you can never count out Theo from getting a goal or assist along with the potential of a clean sheet.
  • Stefan Posch (€4.6m) – My third defender will be Stefan Posch who was one of the transfer-ins a few weeks given he had a double GW. Posch showed some of his form from last season grabbing an assist and keeping two CS’ in DGW24. Bologna have yet another great fixture in GW31 playing Frosinone, thus I do expect a good points return from him in GW31.
  • Raoul Bellanova (€5.2m) – And last but not least, my fourth defender this week will be Bellanova from Torino. Torino are a side known to be miserly in defence and it shows this season as only three teams have conceded less goals than them in the league. They managed to get yet another clean sheet in GW30 vs Monza where they came away with a 1-0 win. Bellanova has been somewhat of a revelation for Torino this season getting one goal and five assists so far from the RB/RWB position. I will be expecting more of the same from Bellanova and Torino in GW31 when they face Empoli.

Midfielders

  • Lewis Ferguson (€5.8m) – My first Midfielder this GW will be Lewis Ferguson from Bologna. Ferguson is another one of those players who has thrived under Thiago Motta’s tutelage this season getting six goals and three assists so far. As mentioned earlier, Bologna have a great game in GW31 vs Frosinone. I am hoping that Ferguson has an instant impact on my Serie A Fantasy team.
  • Albert Gudmundsson (€6m) – Gudmundsson has been one of the league’s revelations this year with 11 goals and three assists in just 30 games for Genoa. He sits joint first now in the most points list for midfielders in Serie A Fantasy and at just 6M, he is an absolute bargain. Genoa will be playing Verona in GW31 and the hope is Gudmundsson will again get something out of the game.
  • Teun Koopmeiners (€7.6m) – Similar to Gundmundsson, Koopmeiners is having one of his best seasons at Atalanta this year. So far he has scored 11 goals and created three assists in just 24 starts. He was part of a late decision last GW to get rid of Felipe Anderson and even though Koopmeiners did not start the game, he ended up scoring after coming on as a substitute. Atalanta will be facing Cagliari in GW31. Given his form I do expect some kind of fantasy return.

Forwards

  • Oliver Giroud (€9m) – My first playing forward for GW31 will be Oliver Giroud. He has been great for me since I transferred him in. Giroud now has 12 goals and eight assists in 28 starts for Milan. He will want to get on the score sheet again in GW31 after five games of not scoring when Milan faces Lecce at home. If rumours are correct, this might be Giroud’s last season playing for the Rossoneri as he plans to move to MLS starting next season.
  • Lautaro Martinez (€11.8m) – Martinez looks a level above everyone else at the moment in Serie A. This is because he has 23 goals and two assists in just 30 games for Inter. He was rested in GW28 so I think xMins will be safe. Also, given that Inter have exited the Champions League, he should get minutes in every game until the end of the season. He failed to score in GW30 when Inter beat Empoli 2-0 at home. It’s only the second time this season Lautaro has gone three GWs without being on the scoresheet. So, this upcoming fixture vs Udinese is perfect timing for him to get back his scoring form.
  • Victor Osimhen (€12.6m) – Last but by no means least, my third forward for this week is Osimhen. He is back in form now with five goals and two assists in his last eight games. He failed to score in GW30 against a resurgent Atalanta side but Napoli will play Monza in GW31 where I do expect him to come good again. In just 17 starts this season Osimhen has 11 goals and three assists and could be a great option for GW31.

Captaincy

At the moment of writing this article captaincy is on Theo Hernandez for reasons I have mentioned above. Lautaro and Osimhen are also in the running for captaincy as things stand.

As usual, I will reveal my final team on X before the deadline. Ensure you are following me on there via @FPLRossoneriNick. You should also follow Fantasy Football Community for all the latest updates in Serie A Fantasy.

That’s it for my GW31 Team reveal. See you all next for GW32. Until then best of luck with the game week, and may all your arrows be green.
