FPL: Best Budget Players for Gameweek 27

Using Fantasy Football Scout‘s fixture ticker and underlying stats, here are some of the best budget players for Gameweek 27.

Singling out the best cheap players for Gameweek 27 can be extremely useful to managers. Such budget enablers are vital when trying to squeeze in some premium options and they can even be great standalone options.

FIXTURES

Below are the Gameweek 27 fixtures, sorted by perceived difficulty where the top teams have nicer-looking outings.

GAMEWEEK 27 BUDGET PLAYERS

Simon Adingra (£5.0m)

Back from AFCON as a continental champion, the delightful Brighton winger immediately returned to domestic action with two Gameweek 25 goals versus Sheffield United.

That puts him on six from 1,347 minutes – one for every two and half matches.

With recent 5-0 and 4-1 victories, the high-scoring Seagulls have carved out more big chances (157) than Arsenal and Spurs this season. They’re third overall in this category.

Some unfortunate news for Brighton fans is that Kaoru Mitoma (£6.4m) is likely to miss the final few months because of a back injury. Consequently, this could bring even more minutes security to Adingra.

Justin Kluivert (£4.6m)

Fellow cheap midfielder Kluivert has netted twice in his last six starts. Not quite a nailed-on starter, he may just be worth the risk when you see Bournemouth’s imminent fixtures.

All three promoted sides are next, starting with a trip to leaky Burnley. Then it’s Double Gameweek 28 at home to both Sheffield United and Luton.

FPL managers who can’t find a way to Dominic Solanke (£7.1m) may perceive Kluivert to be useful alternative coverage.

David Datro Fofana (£5.0m)

Indeed, the match at Turf Moor could see goals for both sides. January loanee Fofana assisted in his debut cameo at Man City before coming on to score twice in 27 minutes against Fulham.

Although his following three starts have been goalless, the forward registered a pair of big chances away to Liverpool that totalled 0.83 expected goals (xG).

This pacy dribbler could certainly cause the Cherries some problems.

Jarrad Branthwaite (£4.2m)

Finally, a defender who is proving to be one of this season’s biggest FPL bargains. No team has more clean sheets (eight) since Gameweek 8, a period where only Arsenal have allowed fewer big chances (32).

Branthwaite himself has gone upfield and bagged two goals in his last four outings, meaning he’s ended with a return in four of his latest six.

West Ham isn’t an easy opponent but Everton have solidity at the back.
