Community Team Reveal Gameweek 26 – Ryan (Football Chatbox)
Each Gameweek brings an FPL community team reveal. As a result, that person gives insight into their transfers, captaincy and future plans.
Ahead of Gameweek 26, it’s the turn of Ryan (Football Chatbox) to tell us what he is doing to his team.
Hi Ryan and thanks for the team reveal. So how did Gameweek 25 go?
The first half of Liverpool started well and, after that, it just went downhill and ended up being a bit underwhelming for a Gameweek that had so much promise at the start. I ended with 84 points and a small green arrow up to 398k. With both Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez injured in that first half and a poor result from my Erling Haaland triple captaincy, there hasn’t been much to talk about.
What does your defence look like?
This week, my defence will be the only three ones I have available. I’m not sure how long Pedro Porro will be injured for but I plan to keep him for the moment and Alfie Doughty blanks. I hope these three can get me something, especially Gabriel Magalhaes and Sergio Reguilon with decent fixtures. Anything more than two Jarrad Branthwaite points would be great.
Meanwhile, what about your midfield and attack?
This is where the questions are. I’ve got a hurt Darwin and an injured Jota, with the latter being my priority sell as there are more midfield options that I want this week compared to forwards. I’m willing to keep Darwin this week, before possibly selling for Dominic Solanke a week before his Double Gameweek 28.
I’m currently deciding between Hwang Hee-chan and Martin Odegaard in midfield. I still haven’t decided exactly where I want to go but both have great fixtures over the next few rounds.
So what are your transfer plans for Gameweek 26 and beyond?
After I sell Jota, the decision will be whether Darwin becomes Solanke in either Gameweek 27 or 28. I haven’t thought beyond that, as I first want to find out how the FA Cup results will affect Blank Gameweek 29.
Finally, what about captaincy?
It’s a close one for the armband. Currently, I’m 60% leaning towards Haaland, with Bukayo Saka as vice-captain. I think both players are great options and it can still go either way.
