AFCON Participants
The biggest return from AFCON was of course Liverpool’ Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian exited the competition due to an injury which could rule him out for some matches.
Other players that returned to their clubs include West Ham midfielder Mohamed Kudus who picked up a goal contribution immediately upon his return. Leaving the Ghana national team alongside Kudus was Bournemouth’ Antoine Semenyo and Crystal Palace Jordan Ayew.

Asia Cup
One of the most noticeable departures from the Asia Cup is favourites Japan who lost to Iran recently. As a result midfielder Kaoru Mitoma returns to Premier League club Brighton. Joining him on the plane home is Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo and Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Other players returning to the Premier League from the Asia Cup is Saman Ghodos from Brentford and Wolves defender Justin Hubner.
