We take a look at FPL planning Gameweek 24 and 25. With the help of the Fantasy Football Scout members area we can utilise its fixture ticker and underlying stats to pick out the best teams and players to target for the Gameweeks ahead.
FPL planning for Gameweek 24 and 25 can be absolutely vital to the success of any given managers season. The early stage of the campaign is one of the most important periods in FPL so being able to target the right teams and players could be key.
Gameweek 24 & 25 Fixtures
When it comes to FPL planning taking a look at the fixtures could be key to making decisions. Below we can see the fixtures for Gameweek 24 and 25 with the help of the Fantasy Football Scout fixtures ticker.
Who has the best fixtures?
Manchester City and Brentford have a double Gameweek so they both sit at the top of the ticker. Joining them in the top five teams with the easiest fixture are Luton, Newcastle and Arsenal.
Who has the worst fixtures?
Burnley, Chelsea, Everton, Bournemouth and West Ham all rank in the bottom five teams with the toughest fixtures.
The Best Players to Buy for Gameweek 24 & 25
Manchester City are the best team to invest in this week with three great fixtures to attack. Although defensively vulnerable for the majority of the season it could still be worth taking a chance on one of their defensive players. The safest option at the back in terms of minutes is goalkeeper Ederson (£5.5m).
The standout Manchester City asset is of course Erling Haaland (£14m). The Norwegian leads the ruthless Manchester City attack and takes their penalties. Managers could also opt for midfielders Kevin De Bruyne (£10.7m) and Phil Foden (£8m), both of whom are in a great run of form.
The double Gameweek could bring temptation when it comes to Brentford striker Ivan Toney (£8m). Toney has scored in both of his matches since returning from his ban. Some however may choose to avoid him with both Liverpool and Manchester City in Gameweek 25.
Newcastle could be another great team to invest in. The Magpies come up against Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth next up so there is plenty of potential there. Some could be tempted by full-back Kieran Trippier (£6.7m) who has created eight assists this campaign. In attack many will be looking at midfielder Anthony Gordon (£6.1m) who has picked up a return in 12 of his matches so far.
Arsenal are of course another team FPL managers will want to target. At the back goalkeeper David Raya (£4.9m) could be the solution to a problem between the sticks. Centre-back Gabriel (£5m) will be the preferred defensive asset after scoring two goals and keeping a clean sheet in the same match recently. Offensively some will keep the faith in midfielder Bukayo Saka (£9.1m). Saka collected 20 points in his last three matches and takes his sides penalties.
Liverpool
Any hour the news could break that Liverpool will double in Gameweek 25. If that is the case then the Reds become a priority in terms of transfer planning.
Many in the community will be eager to bring in defender Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8.5m). The full-back has sustained some of the best distribution data in the league this season.
One of two players who have picked up a burst of form recently is midfielder Diogo Jota (£8m). Jota has returned at least once in all four of his last matches – including a huge 19-point return he bagged in Gameweek 21. Striker Darwin Nunez (£7.5m) has also caught the eye as of late with returns in three of his last four.
Of course most eyes will be on the recovery of Mohamed Salah (£13.1m). The Egyptian midfielder will be high on a lot of fantasy managers shortlist when he is full fit.
Other players with potential
Tottenham remain a key team to invest with the likes of defender Pedro Porro (£5.9m) and midfielder Richarlison (£7m) the main focus. Others could be planning to bring in the likes of midfielders James Maddison (£7.9m) who picked up a seven-point return upon his return from injury and penalty taker Son Heung-Min (£9.7m) when he returns from the Asia Cup.
Other players like Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke (£7.1m) and Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins (£8.8m) could also be very tough sells due to their recent form.
Should we play a chip?
When it comes to FPL planning it could be vital to touch upon the use of chips.
Double Gameweeks can be one of the best times to use a chip in FPL. One of the most popular chips will likely be the triple captain chip. Most will look to triple captain Erling Haaland against Chelsea and Brentford in Gameweek 25. If Liverpool get confirmation of a double Gameweek and Mohamed Salah is fully fit then he could also be a triple captain option.
There shouldn’t be much of a need or want to play another chip during this period. We are very likely to have bigger blanks and double ahead to utilise the chips more effectively.
