FPL: Buy Sell and Keep for Gameweek 22

The 21st round of Fantasy Premier League is over so we look to the next and look at which players are a buy sell and keep for Gameweek 22. Whether that be through injury, team and player form or other factors we advise the potential fate of assets in your teams.

Looking at players who are a buy sell and keep for Gameweek 22 could be extremely beneficial to FPL managers. Knowing what to do with assets in your team can ultimately bring clarity with transfer use, captaincy and chip strategy.

Buy

Gabriel (£5m) – Arsenal are one of the best defences in the league so investing in their backline with good fixtures ahead could be a wise move. Gabriel seems to be starting every match recently and even scored and created an assist in his last match. Monitoring his injury status will be key.

Ollie Watkins (£8.9m) – For those without Ollie Watkins now may be the best time to bring him in. Aston Villa play a recently poor Newcastle defence and have good fixtures ahead. Leading the attack is of course this man who has scored nine goals and created eight assists so far this season.

Dominic Solanke (£7.1m) – Solanke may have blanked in his last two matches but he has had to face both Tottenham and Liverpool. Great fixtures lay ahead starting with West Ham and it could be a great time to invest in a striker who has already banked 13 attacking returns this season.

Pervis Estupinan (£5.1m) – Brighton seem to be improving defensively with two clean sheets in their last three league matches. Estupinan has clean sheet potential but he is also a major attacking threat – scoring two goals and creating three assists in just nine league matches so far.

Pascal Groß (£6.5m) – No player has played as much gametime in the Brighton side as this man. Pascal Groß ranks as his teams highest earner in terms of FPL points whilst also sitting in the best six players for non-penalty expected goal involvement in the last six Gameweeks.

Joao Pedro (£5.5m) – Brighton have excellent fixtures ahead with a meeting against Luton first. For those looking for a cheap striker then Pedro could well make the cut. Not only does he sit joint first for goals/assists in his side but he also takes penalties.

Eberechi Eze (£6m) – Crystal Palace have a brilliant schedule ahead. They face the worst defence in the league this week, Sheffield United. Eze is the Crystal Palace talisman but he also takes set pieces and penalties which give him huge appeal.

Manchester City assets – With great fixtures and a double Gameweek ahead, it could be worth stocking up on the Manchester City players. Some of those players could include defender Kyle Walker (£5.4m) and midfielder Phil Foden (£8m). Striker Erling Haaland (£13.9m) is an awkward one in terms of buy, sell and keep for Gameweek 22. If declared fit he is a must buy, if not then we could wait another week.

Richarlison (£7m) – Tottenham have some easy matches ahead and they have also been sustaining some of the best underlying attacking data this season. Leading the attack recently is the Brazilian who has managed a return in five of his last six matches.

Pedro Porro (£5.9m) – Porro is currently one of the most consistent assets in the entire game. The Tottenham full-back dominates attacking metrics amongst defenders and remains a must buy.

Sell

Yoane Wissa (£5.7m) – The Brentford striker is still with Congo in the African Cup of Nations so he remains a sell.

Kaoru Mitoma (£6.4m) – Not only is Mitoma still with Japan in the Asia Cup. But, he still seems to be struggling with an injury he picked up prior to leaving.

Nicolas Jackson (£6.9m) – Nicolas Jackson is another player participating in AFCON. Senegal have progressed and remain favourites so Jackson’ may return later than expected.

Levi Colwill (£4.7m) – The Chelsea centre-back could become a rotation risk with the return of Ben Chilwell. The Blues also face Liverpool and Manchester City in the next four matches which could limit his potential.

Mohamed Salah (£13.1m) – Not only is Mohamed Salah involved in AFCON but he is injured. Latest reports suggest he could be out for a month so is an easy sell due to his price-tag.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8.5m) – The Liverpool full-back picked up a knee injury recently. Due to his price-tag Trent could be worth selling for the run ahead.

Kieran Trippier (£6.7m) – The combination of heavy transfer links and a fixture against Aston Villa could mean Trippier is a sell. It’s also worth noting that his side are conceding some of the worst defensive stats in the league recently.

Son Heung-Min (£9.7m) – South Korea are participating in the Asia Cup which means Son is too. There is no telling how far favourites South Korea will go in the tournament. But, at Son’ price point he could be a wise sell.

Hold

Bukayo Saka (£9.1m) – Saka may have been frustrating recently but he faces a very poor Nottingham Forest defence up next which could mean huge potential for Saka. Saka remains the best Arsenal attacking option and still takes his sides penalties.

Cole Palmer (£5.8m) – Palmer has some tough fixtures ahead which could make some consider selling him. However, he is his sides talisman, takes their penalties and has managed three double-digit hauls in his last five matches. Because of this Palmer is a firm hold.

Darwin Nunez (£7.4m) – He may face Chelsea and Arsenal next but he could be a tough sell considering he has collected a return in each of his last three matches. Nunez also leads one of the most lethal attacks in the league.

Julian Alvarez (£7m) – Until we gain more clarity on the status of Erling Haaland teammate Julian Alvarez remains a hold. There is a big chance Alvarez stays leading the line and taking penalties. He also faces Burnley next which could mean huge potential.

Anthony Gordon (£6.1m) – Newcastle may not be in the best of recent form but they are still fully capable of scoring goals. Helping his side with that is this man. Gordon has been in fine form recently – returning in both of his last two matches. Aston Villa next may be tough but he has great fixtures after that.

Jarrod Bowen (£8.1m) – Bowen’ injury meant many within the community sold him. However, he is now back and although holders will be frustrated he didn’t return in Gameweek 21, he has been brilliant this season. His fixtures long-term are also very good from an offensive perspective.
