Which players are due a goal in Gameweek 22?
Picking out the players that look likely to score in an FPL gameweek is a big part of management. Using recent underlying stats from the Fantasy Football Scout, we assess which players are due a goal in Gameweek 22.

However, others are shooting and getting in the right places without having either luck or end product. So let’s look at the players who have met the following criteria over these four:
- No more than one goal
- At least eight shots
- At least two big chances
- An expected goals (xG) tally of 1.10
- An expected goal involvement (xGI) of 1.30
Due a goal in Gameweek 22
All about frustration and explosiveness, Darwin Nunez finally provided owners with the latter during Liverpool’s 4-0 win at Bournemouth. It means he’s temporarily away from this list, with team-mate Cody Gakpo falling behind on shots.
He did grab an assist, just like Gabriel Jesus, whilst Pascal Gross failed to deliver any shots against Wolves. The German is on three successive blanks.
Meanwhile, many captained Bukayo Saka for his fifth blank from six games, after the first 14 only brought two. His latest disappointment came in Arsenal’s 5-0 win over Crystal Palace, where Leandro Trossard scored and had five shots.
Back from a knee problem, Odsonne Edouard was unused at the Emirates and Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga wasn’t around to extend his run of returns.
One player who did overcome injury was Jarrod Bowen. Yet his three million owners had to endure a blank away to Sheffield United, meaning he’s goalless in three outings. Up next is Bournemouth (h).
Of the others, Matheus Cunha was booked in Monday’s 0-0 at Brighton and Raheem Sterling won the penalty scored by Cole Palmer. He travels to Anfield next.
