Best FPL differentials for Gameweek 16
The Premier League season continues which means FPL does too. With that in mind, we provide the best differentials for Gameweek 16, with assistance from Fantasy Football Scout’s fixture ticker.
Looking at the best differentials for FPL Gameweek 16 can be really useful for FPL managers. These are what we call low-owned players (under 10%) that can help improve your rank and defeat rival mini-league competition.
Fixtures
Matheus Cunha (£5.6m, 3.1% ownership)
About to host Nottingham Forest, Wolves forward Cunha has ended his last four matches with an attacking return. He’s started all 15 league games and this match provides a great opportunity for delivering his first home goal of the campaign.
Gary O’Neil’s side has scored in every match since their unlucky 1-0 opening day defeat at Man United, although the Brazilian has been overshadowed in FPL by team-mates Pedro Neto (£5.6m) and Hwang Hee-chan (£5.7m).
Yet Cunha entered Gameweek 15 ranked joint-seventh for shots on target (15) so far. When studying the last six Gameweeks, he sits on top alongside Erling Haaland (£14.0m) and Darwin Nunez (£7.7m).
Simon Adingra (£5.0m, 1.3%)
As Kaoru Mitoma has been in and out of Brighton’s recent line-ups, cheap midfield team-mate Adingra could provide better coverage for their home match with Burnley.
He’s started ten of the 11 league occasions since Gameweek 5 and his three FPL goals join the Europa League one scored at Ajax last month.
Overall, the Seagulls have the second-most attempts on target (92) and the best shot accuracy rate of all teams (42.0%). Against them is the second-worst side for conceding goals (33).
Rasmus Hojlund (£6.9m, 3.2%)
Such was Anthony Martial’s anonymity in the defeat at Newcastle, summer signing Hojlund should remain in the Man United line-up versus Bournemouth.
Domestically, he’s nowhere near the five Champions League goals netted so far. But the Cherries have allowed the third-most shots (240), suggesting that the Dane will get several chances to kick-start his Premier League campaign.
Yoane Wissa (£5.9m, 8.5%)
Should Bryan Mbeumo’s ankle issue deny his managers from having him against Sheffield United, it should allow Wissa back into the starting XI. Yes, he was benched in midweek as a consequence of his returns dramatically nosediving since Gameweek 2, where he suggested that the late form of 2022/23 would carry over.
But a one-off consideration needs making for this opponent. After all, Wissa is still amongst the best FPL forwards for attempts, as well as shots inside the box. He’s producing far less than his expected goals (xG) and expected goal involvement (xGI) tallies suggest.
We looked at previous head-to-head data to conclude what we should expect from Gameweek 14 in our article here.
