The new round of Fantasy Premier League is just around the corner. Many within the community are already making their moves ahead of the new round so with the help of the Official Premier League website we highlight the most popular transfers for Gameweek 14.
Checking out the most popular transfers for Gameweek 14 can be really helpful to fantasy managers. Whether it be due to injuries, bans, player and team form, the transfers other people are making can help bring clarity to our own decisions.
The most popular transfers in
- Bryan Mbeumo (£7m) – The Brentford midfielder sits as the highest transferred in with 355303 new managers. The Bees face off against newly promoted side Luton up next and their star man Mbeumo ranks in the best three players for non-penalty expected goal involvement this season.
- Anthony Gordon (£5.9m) – Newcastle have a tough-on-paper match against Manchester United next up but Gordon is still the second most bought player with 328780 transfers in this week. This is probably due to his fine form this season – In 13 matches Gordon has racked up a huge 10 returns already.
- Bukayo Saka (£8.8m) – Arsenal have a great fixture against a Wolves side conceding some poor underlying defensive stats this season. With that in mind and the fact he managed a goal and an assist in mid-week Saka ranks as the third most transferred in player ahead of the Gameweek 14 deadline (173820).
- Oleksandr Zinchenko (£5.1m) – The Wolves match is a great opportunity for the best defence in the league to keep a clean sheet. Zinchenko is the highest transferred in defender this week with 162492 new owners. This is probably due to the fact he scored in one of his most recent matches.
- Willliam Saliba (£5.5m) – Completing the trio of Arsenal players in the top five this week is this man. Saliba has gained 141988 new managers ahead of the deadline. The centre-back is one of the Gooners’ most reliable players in terms of game time.
The most popular transfers out
- Jarrod Bowen (£7.6m) – There is no major surprises that Bowen is the most sold player this week (395264 transfers out). This is because he failed to play in the last Gameweek due to injury. There are also some very good options to bring in in midfield which could be another factor.
- Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m) – The second most transferred out player ahead of the new round is Mitoma (333121 transfers out). Similar to Bowen Mitoma failed to start the last match for his side due to injury. Brighton also like to rotate their attackers and with a busy period coming up that could be another reason.
- Son Heung-Min (£9.6m) – Tottenham are on a run of three losses on the bounce. The loss of James Maddison due to injury seems to be a hindrance for Son. In fact, he has blanked in all of his last three matches. As a result and other options becoming increasingly appealing in midfield Son sits as the third most transferred out player this week (244377 transfers out).
- Julian Alvarez (£7m) – We could see plenty of rotation from Manchester City in the busy period ahead. This could be one of the reasons he sits as the fourth highest sold player this week (172730 transfers out). Another factor could be his form – with just one return in his last four matches.
- James Maddison (£7.9m) – The Tottenham midfielder continues to leave teams as he sits out due to injury. Maddison isn’t expected to be back until January 14th and there are plenty of options to switch him to.
