FPL Gameweek 12 Best Free Hit Team
Using the Live FPL website we can use one of its fantastic tools to plan transfers weeks in advance. Not just this, but we can also create team drafts to plan for using a chip. Take a look at the best free hit team for Gameweek 12:
Goalkeepers
- David Raya (£4.8m) – Arsenal have maintained one of the best defences in the league this season – keeping five clean sheets which is the joint most. David Raya offers a reliable route into the backline against a poor Burnley attack.
- Alphonse Areola (£4.3m) – The West Ham number one is a great back-up in the unlikely event Ray fails to feature.
Defenders
- Lewis Dunk (£5m) – Brighton come up against the worst team in the league in terms of offensive data. Dunk also offers attacking potential as he sits joint second best in his position for total attempts on goal (14) and second for shots in the box (10).
- Kieran Trippier (£7m) – Newcastle also sit joint top for clean sheet this season with five. They come up against a struggling Bournemouth. Trippier has returned to first place amongst defenders for points after topping his position last season. The set piece specialist has already picked up a huge 11 fantasy returns this season – including six goal contributions.
- Harry Maguire (£4.2m) – Manchester United face Luton next who sit the worst in the division for shots on target (27). With that in mind, his threat from set-plays and his cheap enabling price-tag Harry Maguire could be a great option.
- Tyrick Mitchell (£4.5m) – Just off the back of a huge 15-point haul Mitchell could be a great option off the bench.
- Jarrad Branthwaite (£4m) – He plays every game for Everton so could be a great enabler on the bench.
Midfielders
- Bukayo Saka (£8.6m) – Saka performs much better at home which is where he plays this week. He faces Burnley and they rank joint second worst for goals conceded (27). Saka takes his sides penalties and has returned in eight of his first 10 matches.
- Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m) – Sheffield United have the worst defence in the league currently. They rank as the worst side for data points like shots on target conceded, shots in the box conceded and big chances conceded. With that it makes sense to include their standout attacker for minutes and no-penalty expected goal involvement.
- Anthony Gordon (5.7m) – Newcastle sit as the second highest scorers in the league currently with 26 goals. They face Bournemouth next who have conceded the second most in the division (27). Because of that it could be wise to opt for Gordon. He has returned in seven of his matches so far this season.
- Son Heung-min (£9.6m) – Tottenham continue to impress this season. Leading the frontline is Son who has managed four double-digit returns in his last seven matches. He also takes his sides penalties and comes up against Wolves next.
- Simon Adingra (£5m) – Adingra makes a great enabler but also a fantastic first sub off the bench. He has been starting every game recently for Brighton who rank amongst the top four teams for goals scored this season.
Forwards
- Erling Haaland (£14m) – Manchester City come into the Chelsea game after netting a huge six goals in their recent match. Leading the attack is this man who also ranks as the best attacker in the entire league for underlying offensive data.
- Darwin Nunez (£7.5m) – Liverpool rank top for total attempts on goal (200), shots in the box (124) and second best for big chances total (39). Erling Haaland is the only striker in the league with more big chances than Nunez so far.
- Ollie Watkins (£8.4m) – Aston Villa have been relentless at home this season and they play their again this week against Fulham. The focal point to the consistent frontline is Watkins who also ranks second best for total attempts and shots in the box amongst all forwards.
