Round 9
- I ended up using the Wildcard last week due to several key international break injuries.
- I decided to go aggressive with Fiorentina attackers as they came up against one of the worst teams in the league. That didn’t pay off and Empoli surprisingly won the game 2-0.
- I stuck with Patricio on the Wildcard which paid off along with Martinez.
- Captaincy didn’t work out either with Lukaku against Monza.
- I bought Bremer because I wanted to cover the Juventus defence long-term. What I didn’t think they’d do is keep a full clean sheet against Milan so I benched him.
- In reality, my non-wildcard team would have done much better even with three less playing players. That is the sort of Round we had.
- In term of rank I dropped 220th to 448th so it was a massive drop. The aim is to get back into the top 100 ranked managers.
Round 10 Team Reveal
- This is my current set-up and it’s definitely subject to change.
- As always I will wait for @FPL_Crisk to shape both my line-up and transfers.
- I’m looking to roll the transfer this week. The plan is to eventually invest in Milan whom have great fixtures starting from Round 11 so that’s the plan.
- Schuurs has a long-term injury which is a huge loss. Eventually I will look to replace him but I don’t see it as something I need to change right now.
- Federico Dimarco could eventually become a cheap Inter centre-back. It looks like he will constantly have his minutes managed and may not even start some games.
- My two big strikers come up against each other next up and I’m not entirely keen on any of them in this particular game.
- The backline looks very good for now and think it has potential this week.
- I’ll be giving Ketelaere one more chance in my team and he’ll have it against Empoli. If he does nothing then he’s going.
- Captaincy is up in air at the moment. When in doubt it could be worth backing Martinez but at the moment I think anyone could end up with it.
