As we can see over the next five Gameweeks Chelsea sit rock bottom of the ticker as they face Arsenal, Brentford, Tottenham, Manchester City and Newcastle.

Th Chelsea fixtures are tough which could be enough of a reason to look at replacing midfielder Raheem Sterling (£7m) but who could we opt for?

Jarrod Bowen

West Ham rank third best on the fixture ticker during the same period as Chelsea. The Hammers have started the season very well and in terms of recent results have won seven of their 11 matches in all competitions. What is even more significant is that West Ham also managed to net two or more goals in seven of the same 11 games.

In scoring form and with great fixtures ahead could be an ideal time to make a move for Jarrod Bowen. Bowen comes in just £0.3m more expensive than Sterling so the move could be an easy one. The winger has been instrumental for the Hammers so far and has racked up a return in five of his eight league matches so far in FPL.

Moussa Diaby

Aston Villa rank second on the fixture ticker over the next five Gamweeks. They come up against West Ham, Luton, Nottingham Forest, Fulham and Tottenham which gives them plenty of potential. In the 13 matches they have played in all competitions this season they have not failed to find the net in any.

Moussa Diaby costs just £6.7m which means not only would it be a straight swap but you would also be banking a bit of budget. The in-game midfielder plays in a forward role which means he is out of position. In the eight matches he has played Diaby has also collected a return in four of them.

Pedro Neto

Wolves could be a solid place if looking to replace Raheem Sterling. They also sit near the peak of the ticker with fixtures against Bournemouth, Newcastle, Sheffield United, Tottenham and Fulham. Interestingly, although the joint lowest ranked scorers in 22/23 Wolves have failed to score just once so far and that was in their opening match.

Pedro Neto has been hugely influential in the Wolves attack so far this season. To highlight how in-form Neto is, he has bagged a return in his last six matches on the bounce and hasn’t blanked since Gameweek 2. He also comes in at just £5.7m so managers would be banking a bulk of cash making the swap.

Kaoru Mitoma

Brighton are another team to keep an eye or potentially even invest in. After Manchester City they come up against Fulham, Everton, Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest. In terms of scoring form they’re the best in the division with 21 goals.

The fixtures could be too hard to ignore after Manchester City and Kaoru Mitoma could be the standout pick of the bunch. The Japanese international has collected four returns in eight matches already including two double-digit hauls. Mitoma costs £6.6m so swapping him for Sterling would also give you some spare budget.

For those with extra cash then the following options could be excellent replacements:

James Maddison – Spurs are in fantastic form this season and sit at the top of the Premier League table. One of the biggest contributors to that is Maddison. Maddison sit as the fifth highest scoring in his position and has returned in five of his eight matches so far. For those looking at Maddison as a replacement he would cost an additional £1m.

Son Heung-min – Tottenham aren’t just in great form but they are also sustaining some of the best underlying attacking data in the league. Son would cost huge £2.4m extra so it would take some shuffling to bring him in. Son is playing up front for Tottenham and could be a fantastic asset long-term with good fixtures.
