Italian League football continues and with that so does the fantasy football game. With that in mind we take a look at the Serie A Fantasy top picks for Round 7 with the help of our expert and regular contributor @FPL_Crisk.
The Twitter community is full of some of the best fantasy managers in the world so catching up with our experts Serie A Fantasy top picks for Round 7 could be crucial. Knowing which players have the most potential could help confirm decisions in our own teams as we head towards the deadline.
Goalkeepers – Rui Patricio (€5.0m – 19.5%)
Roma have conceded a lot, and the Portuguese goalkeeper is nowhere near the top of the point chart. However, the underlying data suggests a defensive underperformance. A home game against Frosinone can be the right type of match to recover their defensive form.
Lukasz Skoruspki (€4.8m – 7.1%)
Skorupski is amongst the top five goalkeepers for points despite some tough fixtures at the start of the season. At the same time Empoli remain one of the worst attacks of the season despite the home win against a poor Salernitana side.
Defenders – Michael Kayode (€4.4m – 0.4%)
Kind of a dark horse. With Dodò out for most of the season because of a torn ACL, Kayode has a great chance to impose himself as the main RB for Fiorentina (unless Italiano finds an out of position solution). The youngster has impressed a lot in the matches he’s been featured in. A home game against Cagliari could really be his best occasion to nail his spot.
Perr Schuurs (€4.8m – 13.0%)
Ivan Juric’s team have traditionally been very solid defensively, and Torino is not an exception. It was great in the last spell of the 2022/23 season, and they have kept that form in the current one. They boast three full-time clean sheets already. Schuurs is the defender with the most points for the side, and comes at a lower price than both Vanja and Buongiorno.
Midfielders – Domenico Berardi (€10.2m – 8.5%)
He’s the top scoring midfielder in the game, which wouldn’t usually be surprise if not for the fact that he didn’t take part in the first two fixtures of the season. He boasts crazy good form with goals and assists against top teams like Inter and Juventus. His price is more than justified..
Lazar Samardzic (€5.8m – 5.3%)
Udinese are currently in a relegation position, and the Serbian wonderkid seems like their only hope as of now. Samardzic has scored the only two goals in their season. If they want to bounce back against newly promoted Genoa, they will need him to be at his best. Also, if you haven’t yet, make sure to watch his goal against Napoli, it might just be enough to convince you…
Forwards – Lautaro Martinez (€11.0m – 48.9%)
Not in his best form, he’s played a lot of games but does not have a suitable replacement to let him breath. However, he now faces Salernitana (one of his “favourite” opponents) which have conceded in every single match. A great chance for redemption..
Romelu Lukaku (€9.0m – 4.9%)
I have taken this opportunity to reassemble the “LuLa”, at least here in the Top Picks article. Lukaku has always been a pretty consistent player in Serie A, and his in a period of good enough form. He also tends to perform really well against weaker sides. His physical presence might be just too much for Frosinone to handle. Also, I can see Dybala needing more rest than Romelu, and if the Argentinian isn’t on the pitch it’s up to Lukaku to take eventual penalties…
