Goalkeepers

Robert Sanchez (£4.5m) – The Chelsea fixtures are fantastic in the period ahead and there isn’t many viable goalkeeper options convincing enough to avoid Sanchez at his price point. He could be a great option and have plenty of clean sheet potential.

Alphonse Areola (£4m) – Areola looks set to take over the number one role between the sticks for West Ham after some brilliant performances. He may not have kept a clean sheet in any of his first three matches but he has already collected 18 points.

Defenders

Ben Chilwell (£5.8m) – Chelsea have the second best fixtures according to the fixture ticker. Chilwell has been playing in a left-wing role rather than a left-back role which increases his chances of picking up goal contributions. Amongst all defenders he already ranks second for non-penalty expected goal involvement (1.46).

Destiny Udogie (£4.6m) – Tottenham have been fantastic so far and although conceding some ropey defensive data have still managed to keep two clean sheets in their first three games. Amongst all defenders in the game Udogie sits first for take-ons (11) and showed his attacking potential in his most recent match picking up an assist.

Josko Gvardiol (£5m) – Manchester City have maintained the best defensive data in the division over the last several years and that looks to be continuing. Because of this, investing in the backline could be key and Gvardiol has started the last three matches for the holders.

Kieran Trippier (£6.5m) – There is plenty of budget to go around this season. In addition, Newcastle’ great fixture run ahead and the fact they maintained one of the best defences last season indicates investment may be key. It may have been tough start to the campaign for Trippier but he still ranks near the top for chances and big chances created amongst defenders.

Pervis Estupinan (£5.3m) – He could be a tough exclusion on the wildcard regardless of fixtures. No defender has created more chances or big chances created than Brighton’ flying full-back. Managers can rotate Estuipinan in and out of their line-up as and when they choose.

Midfielders

James Maddison (£7.7m) – Tottenham’ start to the new campaign can be highlighted with the goals their scoring. In the first three matches they have managed to net two in each game. The standout attacking option is Maddison who ranks second amongst all players in the game for non-penalty expected goal involvement (2.89).

Phil Foden (£7.6m) – Finding another route into the Manchester City attack could be massively rewarding moving forward. One of the best ways to do that could be via Foden. Foden picked up an assist in his brief feature last match. He also sits joint third amongst all players for chances created (11).

Bryan Mbeumo (£6.8m) – Only two other attackers in the game have had more big chances that Mbeumo so far. He also takes his sides set pieces and penalties which gives him multiple routes to points.

Bukayo Saka (£8.7m) – Arsenal scored the second most goals in the league last campaign and that looks set to continue. Their main asset is Saka who has already banked two returns in his first three games as well as taking and converting his sides last penalty.

Bruno Fernandes (£8.5m) – Manchester United may not have convinced so far but their Portuguese midfielder ranks first amongst all players in the division for non-penalty expected goal involvement with 3.10.

Forwards

Erling Haaland (£14m) – Going without Haaland is just simply not an option when taking into account that he takes his sides penalties, leads the lethal frontline, is the highest owned player in the game and is the standout captaincy choice looking ahead.

Nicolas Jackson (£7.1m) – The Blues have an amazing run of fixtures and their man man is Nicolas Jackson who leads the frontline. No player has had more big chances in the league than Jackson with five.

William Osula (£4.5m) – The cheapest playing striker in the game is this man who looks to be starting most of the Blades’ matches. He will likely stay on the bench.
