Buy, sell and keep for Gameweek 3

The first round of Fantasy Premier League is over so we look to the next and look at which players are a buy, sell and keep for Gameweek 3. Whether that be through injury, team and player form or other factors we advise the potential fate of assets in your teams.

Looking at players who are a buy, sell and keep for Gameweek 3 could be extremely beneficial to FPL managers. Knowing what to do with assets in your team can ultimately bring clarity with transfer use, captaincy and chip strategy.

Buy

Bukayo Saka (£8.6m – Arsenal) – The midfielder faces a Fulham side who conceded the joint most big chances in the league last season and he also takes his sides penalties.

Ben Chilwell (£5.7m – Chelsea) – Chilwell has been playing in an advanced role for The Blues and could have both defensive and attacking returns against a poor Luton defence next.

Bryan Mbeumo (£6.6m) – The Brentford penalty taker sits as the second highest scoring player in the game after netting three times in two matches. He faces Crystal Palace next up so could continue his early run.

Nicolas Jackson (£7m) – Jackson is the focal point to the Chelsea attack and he comes up against a Luton side who conceded the worst defensive stats in Gameweek 1.

Phil Foden (£7.5m) – With the injury to Kevin De Bruyne Foden looks set to continue starting. The midfielder has created the joint most chances in the league so far (nine).

Julian Alvarez (£6.5m) – Manchester City have a great opportunity to make it three wins out three this week against newly promoted Sheffield United. Alvarez looks to be starting every game now and with two returns in two matches he could extend his great start to the campaign.

Richarlison (£7m) – Tottenham face Bournemouth who have conceded more attempts than any other side so far. Richarlison is the focal point to the Spurs attack so could have bags of potential

Sell

Kieran Trippier (£6.5m) – Newcastle have failed to keep a single clean sheet so far and Trippier in creating an assist. He faces the difficult task of Liverpool next up but also has tough fixtures after that.

Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) – Liverpool have a game against Newcastle next who although have not kept a clean sheet yet have still limited their opponent. Mohamed Salah comes in at a hefty price-tag and with all of the other high performing options available could be a sell.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8m) – Liverpool have been extremely poor defensively and Trent looks nowhere near his best in terms of distribution. The Liverpool full-back took a knock on the weekend but also faces a tough fixture up next.

Joao Pedro (£5.6m) – Brighton have racked up a huge eight goals already this season but striker Pedro failed to start the last game which shows he could be a rotation risk moving forward.

Carney Chukwuemeka (£4.5m) – For those relying on the cheap midfielder it could be a great time to upgrade him due to his knee injury.

Aleksandar Mitrovic (£7.4m) – The striker has departed Fulham via a permanent transfer to the Saudi League.

James Maddison (£7.6m) – The Tottenham midfielder may have a great fixture ahead but there is a high chance he wont play after he was pictured leaving his last game using crutches.

Keep

Pervis Estupinan (£5.2m) – West Ham may pose some problems after their win against Chelsea but Estupinan has created more chances than any other defender in the game. He also scored in his most recent match so has multiple routes to points.

Kaoru Mitoma (£6.6m) – Whilst many will be questioning why Brighton players even make the list some could be looking to their tough schedule ahead. The Brighton frontline has started the season brilliantly and Mitoma looks to be one their most dangerous attackers.

Marcus Rashford (£9m) – Manchester United have had a rough start to the season, especially their attackers. However, Rashford has been getting big chances so it could be just a matter of time before he picks up a big return.

Bruno Fernandes (£8.5m) – The Manchester United midfielder has racked up a higher expected goal involvement than any other player so far this season. The Reds face a ropey Nottingham Forest backline up next so it could be worth keeping the Manchester United attackers for now.

Alexander Isak (£7.6m) – Newcastle may have lost to Manchester City in Gameweek 2 but they face a Liverpool who are conceding plenty of big chances. Isak could have great potential for the round ahead.
