Top picks – Imran Louza (£7m)

Louza grabbed a goal and an assist against a poor QPR side this week. He seems to be the talisman in Ismael’s system. In addition, he is taking some corners and totalled up three key passes in his first game. Louza also hit the woodwork after scoring. Despite Plymouth’s opening day result, it still looks like a nice fixture on paper, making Louza a great pick. The midfielder could even be a viable captain option this week.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (£7.5m)

Another player who looked great in GW1 and shined is Dewsbury-Hall. Two goals, three shots on target and three key passes, he seems a near essential pick of priority transfer in. He’s a great option this week, facing a Huddersfield side who shipped three to newly promoted Plymouth in their first game.

James Ward-Prowse (£11m)

An assist, two key passes and two shots on target against Sheffield Wednesday in GW1, Ward-Prowse looks like a great pick. On set pieces and getting forward to support Tella and Walker-Peters, he’s been given the license to go forward with Smallbone being the more defensive midfielder. While he’s at Southampton he will always be a great pick, especially while their squad is as strong as it is now.

Joe Bryan (£6.5m)

Against Middlesbrough, Bryan managed one key pass, one successful dribble and missed a big chance. He was also on some corners, which Millwall are renown for being good from. In addition, Bryan now has an easier game against Bristol City at home, where Millwall only conceded 22 in 23 games last season. He is a great combination of attacking threat and clean sheet potential.

Ricardo Pereira (£6.5m)

With three key passes and three shots in GW1, Pereira looked good against Coventry. With Leicester’s favourable game against Huddersfield, he looks like a great option. Linking up and coming infield to receive the ball, he also racked up 79 passes, and seemed to be involved in the majority of Leicester’s play.

Ike Ugbo (£6m)

A goal and assist in GW1, Ugbo looks a nice pick this week. Facing a QPR side who seem in disarray and just shipped four to Watford, this looks a great fixture for Cardiff. Ugbo also took just two shots and got a key pass against Leeds, but we know that QPR’s defence is inferior, and he’ll likely also get more of the ball leading to more chances and key passes.

Vakoun Bayo (£7.5m)

Bayo racked up 1.44 XG against QPR, with five shots and a goal to his name. Plymouth allowed 2.48 XG to Huddersfield, which shows there are weaknesses at the back. I really like Bayo this week with a lot of uncertainty over the premium striker options (Adams vs Armstrong, Vardy vs Iheanacho.etc). Because of that I like Bayo to grab another goal or two this week.
