FPL Community drafts ahead of the season

As the new Premier League campaign is approaching we take a look at some FPL community drafts ahead of the season. We try to find some trends between the drafts, highlight any differentials and check out the most heavily used formations.

Checking out some FPL Community drafts ahead of the season could be extremely helpful to other fantasy managers. The community is full of some of the best FPL managers in the world so taking a look at some of their drafts can help bring clarity to our own decisions.

@FPLGunnersaurus

In Jay’ latest draft he has opted for a 3-4-3 tactic. He already has a potential transfer plan in place for Gameweek 2 and 3. He has selected popular defensive assets like Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana (£5m) and Brighton defender Pervis Estupinan (£5m).

Some interesting differentials Jay has opted for include Chelsea full-back Reece James (£5.5m) who looks to be returning to full fitness during pre-season. Another interesting option Jay has picked is Brighton striker Evan Ferguson (£6m) who impressed last campaign but there may be some concerns over his expected minutes for the new season ahead.

@FPLGOAT7

FPL GOAT suggested that he keeps returning back to the following draft. He is looking at a 3-5-2 formation for the new campaign. Similar to Jay he has picked defensive options like Manchester City centre-back John Stones (£5.5m) and Pervis Estupinan.

He has also added several popular midfielders like Arsenal’ Bukayo Saka (£8.5m), Manchester United’ Marcus Rashford (£9m) and Manchester City’ Phil Foden (£7.5m). Interestingly GOAT has brought in Chelsea full-back Ben Chilwell (£5.5m) and benched him for a tough fixture against Liverpool in Gameweek 1.

@FPLFalse9

F9 has also gone for a 3-4-3 formation in his latest draft. He has selected some of the most popular picks like Andre Onana, Pervis Estupinan, Bukayo Saka and Manchester City striker Erling Haaland (£14m). However, he has also added some differentials.

One of his most noticeable differentials is Everton midfielder Arnaut Danjuma (£5.5m) who joined the Toffees in the summer. He also opted for two differentials up front with Liverpool’ Darwin Nunez (£7.5m) and Chelsea’ Nicolas Jackson (£7m).

@DavidMunday815

David Munday continues the love for the 3-4-3 formation. Like many he has included John Stones, Pervis Estupinan, Phil Foden, and Erling Haaland. One main difference to other drafts we have seen is the inclusion of Brentford goalkeeper Mark Flekken (£4.5m) who could be one of the standout £4.5m goalkeeper options.

Many have decided to exclude Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) unlike David and F9. One of David’s most intriguing picks is Brentford striker Yoane Wissa (£6m) – he has featured in a strikers role during pre-season which has increased his appeal.
