UCL Fantasy best Limitless team for Matchday 13

The final round of Champions League football is edging closer so we check out the best Limitless team for Matchday 13 in UCL Fantasy. We put together the best team for the round ahead without the restraint of budget limitations.

One of the UCL Fantasy chips available to managers is Limitless. The Limitless is self explanatory in many senses as it allows managers to build a 15-man squad of players, for one round only, without having to worry about budget. Once the round is over, our limitless team will disappear and our previous team will return.

The best Limitless team for Matchday 13

Note: Firstly it is vital that managers are aware of the team limit. Managers can only own up to eight players from each team even when using the Limitless chip.

Starting formation

  • 4-4-2

Goalkeepers

  • Andre Onana – The Inter number one starts the match. Manchester City’s Ederson’s point ceiling is nowhere near as high as their other options and his inclusion would have blocked one of those assets. Because of this Onana makes the cut. He also has a great chance of racking up save points as well.
  • Samir Handanovic – It is unlikely that Onana will not feature in this match but just in case he does, Handanovoic will be ready to step up.

Defenders

  • John Stones – The centre-back has been playing in a midfield role as of late. This means he is closer to the opponents goal, increasing his likelihood of collecting an attacking return. He also has a very good chance of a clean sheet.
  • Ruben Dias -The Portuguese centre-back can be a huge presence in the oppositions box on set pieces. Although he has good clean sheet and set piece potential, Dias is also very good at collecting ball recoveries which help towards his points total.
  • Manuel Akanji – Akanji has proven to be Manchester City’s most dangerous defender in the Champions League so far (two assists and one goal). Combined with clean sheet potential as well, Akanji is a great addition.
  • Federico Dimarco – The Inter wing-back finds himself in some of the most dangerous positions on the pitch. He has also collected a whopping five assists this campaign. Dimarco completes the starting back four.
  • Denzel Dumfries – The Dutchman has shown to be one of the most attacking wing-backs in world football over the years. However his season form has dipped which means his teammate Dimarco gets the nod ahead of him.

Midfielders

  • Kevin De Bruyne – The central midfielder has become one of the best in the world over the last several seasons. He picked up seven goals and a huge 16 assists in his domestic league campaign as well as a further eight goal contributions in his nine UCL games.
  • Ilkay Gundogan – He has shown to be one of the Manchester City’s best players in the biggest games. A good example of this is when he netted twice to secure the FA Cup against Manchester United in his most recent match.
  • Jack Grealish – The Englishman has been a key creator in the latter stages of the Champions League. Grealish managed a huge nine key passes in his semi-final matches against Real Madrid and it could be a matter of time before his creativity translates into a significant amount of UCL Fantasy points.
  • Bernardo Silva – Silva completes the quadruple Manchester City midfield. The Portuguese midfielder will be looking to utilise the space left behind by Inter wing-back Dimarco. He also picked up a monstrous 17 points against Real Madrid in Matchday 12.
  • Hakan Calhanoglu – The Turkish midfielder has plenty of routes to points. From free kicks and goals to ball recoveries and corners, Calhanoglu has potential but will sit on the bench ready to come in if anyone fails to feature.

Forwards

  • Erling Haaland – The standout captaincy option for Mathday 13 has accumulated an eye-watering 36 goals and eight assists this season in the Premier League. If that wasn’t reason enough he also racked up 25 points in Matchday 8, reflecting his explosiveness in UCL Fantasy.
  • Lautaro Martinez – If anyone is going to score against Manchester City in the final it is likely to be this man. Martinez has amassed nine goals and three assists in his last 10 matches in all competitions sitting as Inter’s most in-form attacker.
  • Romelu Lukaku – The Inter striker has become increasingly reliable and confident as the season has progressed and that can be seen in the fact he scored four goals and registered two assists in his last last six matches in all compeitions.
