Best strikers for Gameweek 38

With the final round of Fantasy Premier League approaching we look at the best strikers for Gameweek 38. Using the Fantasy Football Scout members area to utilise its fixture ticker and underlying stats, we provide plenty of striker options with the most potential.

There is just one final round for fantasy managers to try to gain rank or an edge of their mini-league rival. Because of this it could be vital to highlight some of the best strikers for Gameweek 38 in the hope they will help us do exactly that.

Fixtures

Roberto Firmino

Liverpool rank near the top of the fixture ticker this week. Although it hasn’t been the season many expected for the Reds, they have still been maintaining some of the best offensive stats in the league. This season Liverpool rank first for shots in the box (415) and second for big chances total (120).

Southampton lay ahead next. The Saints will be playing in the Championship next season so they have a huge lack of motivation going into the game. Defensively, Southampton are a team to target especially considering they have conceded three or more goals in four of their last six matches. One way to scrutinise the poor Southampton backline is via Roberto Firmino (£8m). The striker will likely be playing his last match for Liverpool and with a goal in his most recent match, the Brazilian could have the confidence to go big.

Harry Kane

Tottenham have a game against relegation battling Leeds in Gameweek 38. It has been a torrid campaign for Leeds, especially defensively. In fact, this season they rank as the worst team in the league for goals conceded (74) and big chances conceded (108).

The best way to target Leeds is of course with Harry Kane (£11.4m). As well as taking his sides penalties, giving him an additional route to points. Kane has also been sustaining some of the best attacking numbers in the league. An example of that is the fact he ranks second for goals (28), first for attempts on goal (127) and third for shots in the box (95).

Erling Haaland

Manchester City have had a brilliant campaign, securing the Premier League title before the final day. In terms of attack, they are up there with the best this season. In fact, they rank first for goals (94) and first for big chances total (131).

Investing into one of the best attacks in the league could be key, even with the league already won. There is no telling if Erling Haaland (£12.4m) will start or even feature. However, the Norwegian sits as the highest scoring player in the game (272 points) which reflects both his consistency and explosiveness. If Haaland does feature, he could could serious damage to his opponent and have plenty of potential.

More great options

  • Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.9m).
  • Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus (£8.1m).
  • Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke (£5.6m).
  • Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins (£7.3m).
  • Newcastle’s Callum Wilson (£7.2m).
