How to invest in Man City for double Gameweek 20

We take a look at how to invest in Man City for double Gameweek 20. Looking at form and minutes to determine who could be the best picks whilst utilising the Fantasy Football Scout members area to help us.

Double game weeks can be the most exciting period of the season for many fantasy managers. They can help gain rank or an edge over mini league opposition if we pick the right players so looking at how to invest in Man City for double Gameweek 20 could be key.

Who do Manchester City face?

Manchester City play Manchester United away and Tottenham at home. Both could be considered tough matches in terms of fixture difficulty.

Manchester City defence

Defensively, Manchester City have been one of the best around for a while. Amongst all teams in the league they rank first for shots in the box conceded, shots on targets conceded and headed attempts conceded. They are also amongst the best for clean sheets and goals conceded.

Rotation at the back

There has been plenty of rotation at the back for Manchester City, especially for the likes of Kyle Walker (£4.8m) and Joao Cancelo (£7.3m). Both players have started just once in the last three matches, coming off at half time in the one they did start. This could deem them a risk in terms of investment.

The options

The safest option is without a doubt, goalkeeper Ederson (£5.4m). The Brazilian is highly likely to play both matches. Two more interesting options could be centre backs John Stones (£5.4m) and Nathan Ake (£5m). Both players have started the last three matches in a row.

The defensive asset with the highest ceiling is Joao Cancelo. However the fact he has only played one half of football in the last three matches is very concerning, so there is huge risk.

Manchester City attack

Manchester City have become one of the most dangerous teams in England over the years. This season amongst all teams they rank first for goals scored, goals inside the box scored, big chances scored, attempts on goal and second for shots on target. This could indicate buying into the Manchester City attack a wise move for the round ahead.

Rotation in attack

Similar to their defence there has been some rotation at the back. Midfielder Phil Foden (£8.2m) has started just one of their three most recent matches. The match Foden did start he was dragged off before half time.

The options

Erling Haaland (£12.2m) is without a doubt the most reliable option. The striker has been in record breaking form this season and is also the standout captaincy option in Gameweek 20. Another player many should consider is Kevin De Bruyne (£12.5m). The Belgian dominates chances and big chances created amongst all players in the league.

There are two more options, some could consider, with some risk of course. One of them is Jack Grealish (£6.8m). The winger started two of the last three matches and in the game he failed to start, came on to add another assist, making it three assists in three matches.

The other player some could consider is Riyad Mahrez (£7.5m). The Algerian managed to start two of Manchester City’s last three matches, the one he failed to start he came onto score the winning goal. This meant Mahrez bagged one goal and two assists in the last three matches.
