What to expect from Gameweek 12

Using the Official Premier League website and the Fantasy Football Scout members area we look at what to expect from Gameweek 12. The previous head-to-head records between teams can be really useful in making informed FPL decisions.

Looking at what to expect from Gameweek 12 could be vital when it comes to decision making. Deciding on a transfer or captain can sometimes take great thought and with the help of extra factors managers could make better informed decisions in FPL.

Brighton v Nottingham Forest

  • Nottingham Forest will be looking to improve their torrid run of form that has seen them in the relegation zone.
  • Brighton midfielder Leandro Trossard (£6.8m) will be hoping to extend his good start to the season. The Belgian returned 32 points combined in Gameweek 9 and Gameweek 10.

Crystal Palace v Wolves

  • In the previous five meetings, there has been less than three goals scored in all of them.
  • Crystal Palace have also kept three clean sheets in the last five matches against Wolves.
  • Many managers will be hoping 20% owned Wilfried Zaha (£7.4m) returns against the fragile Wolves defence.

Bournemouth v Southampton

  • There has been 15 goals scored in the last five matchups. This averages at three goals scored per match.
  • In the 10 matches played between the clubs, there has been four draws, the away side dominate on wins with four.
  • Some managers may be hoping Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke (£5.7m) picks up his form as he continues his great run of fixtures.

Brentford v Chelsea

  • There has been just two Premier League meetings between the clubs. Both teams have won one each.
  • The highest owned players between the sides could face-off this week. Managers of 39% owned Chelsea defender Reece James (£6.1m) and 23% owned Brentford striker Ivan Toney (£7.3m) will be hoping for different situations in Gameweek 12.

Liverpool v West Ham

  • In the 52 matches played, Liverpool have won a huge 32 times.
  • In the last five meetings between the sides there has only been one clean sheet and that was in favour of Liverpool.
  • There has been 18 goals scored in the last five matchups. There has been on average 3.4 goals scored in each game in that same period.
  • Liverpool have scored two or more goals in four of their five last meetings against West Ham.

Newcastle v Everton

  • We can see that in the 54 matches played between Newcastle and Everton, both take close to an equal number of wins. This suggests it could be a close match.
  • Managers will be hoping that 54% owned Newcastle defender Kieran Trippier (£5.6m) continues his great form with a clean sheet.

Man United v Tottenham

  • In the 60 matches played between Man United and Tottenham, the Reds have come away with a massive 38 wins.
  • In the last five meetings there has been 21 goals scored. That averages out at over five goals scored per match.

Fulham v Aston Villa

  • There has been 28 matches played between the clubs. In that period there has also been 11 draws, 11 Aston Villa wins and just six Fulham wins.
  • In the last five matchups, there has been at least two goals scored in each of them.

Leicester v Leeds

  • In the 20 matches played between the sides, both have won nine each.
  • Both teams have scored in four of the last five meetings, Leicester have scored in all of them.
