FPL Reactions to Gameweek 26 (Saturday)
Gameweek 26 is underway. With eight matches already the FPL community has had a busy day of FPL action and points tracking. Here we round up the FPL reactions of the community to Gameweek 26 so far.
On Saturday morning Twitter was full with FPL managers making last minute transfer decisions ahed of the deadline. Saturday saw eight matches played, six of them unusually coming at 3pm. We take a look at how the FPL community reacted to the main talking points of the afternoon.
FPL Reactions
Salah’s ownership
Effective ownership (EO) was a key talking point in the FPL community on Saturday. The large number of Triple Captain armbands handed to Salah meant his EO was at well over 200% as shown on LiveFPL.
Andy shared the thoughts of FPL managers who hadn’t invested in Salah. His effective ownership at 266.5% meant that if you didn’t own him it was going to be a painful afternoon.
FPL reactions to players going MIA
Ted gave FPL managers a list of the key FPL assets who were not in the starting XI for their Premier League clubs.
Chelsea return
Many managers had sold their Chelsea assets in recent weeks because of their Blank Gameweeks. However, Chelsea were back in Gameweek 26 and FPL Bruno pointed out that many had forgotten about the Club World Cup Champions.
Bandwagon Success
The FPL community were all about the Westhorst Wagon in the build up to Gameweek 26. Weghorst rewarded those who invested with a goal and an assist!
Triple Captain success!
When Salah scored the FPL community ta=ook a deep sigh of relief! The guys from the FML FPL Podcast couldn’t hide their delight in their tweet.
Likewise FPL Mihir really enjoyed that goal from the Egypitain.
Whilst FPL Matthew finally had success with his Triple Captain chip.
FPL reactions: Double Gameweek players who returned
Many FPL managers held their Watford assets as a result of their Double Gameweek. FPL Connect showed his surprise that Dennis returned a goal for his managers.
Over 989,000 transferred in Bukayo Saka ahead of Gameweek 26. Gianni was delighted with his points return.
Clean sheet wipe out
However, FPLFamily’s Lee shared the pain of the FLP community when Ramsdale and Arsenal lost the clean sheet late on.
FPL reactions: Man City v Spurs
The final match of the day was one of the best games of Premier League football this season. Ted highlighted just how good the match was when he tweeted.
FLP Sonaldo very much enjoyed his name sakes performance. He highlighted that the Spurs attacking duo reentered the FPL conversation.
