When the FPL 2022/23 game launches FPL managers will begin looking for the players they want to invest in. Part of deciding who is best to own in the opening weeks of the season will be based on the opening fixtures of the season. This also applies to the teams that FPL managers might want to avoid as they are bottom of the Fixture Ticker. We look at the teams with the toughest fixtures to start the season.
Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker
The Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker allows members to sort the fixtures by difficulty. It also allows them to change the difficulty of fixtures, remove fixtures and look at a specific period of fixtures. As well as this it allows managers to look at the difficulty in terms of attack and defence. The Fixture Ticker for the 22/23 season has now been updated.
These teams sit bottom of the fixture ticker for the opening five Gameweeks.
Bottom of the Fixture Ticker: Bournemouth
Newly promoted Bournemouth have a very difficult start to life back in the Premier League. They face Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool as well as Villa and Wolves in their opening five fixtures. FPL managers would have been hoping for a better run of fixtures for the Cherries as their assets will likely be great value options. Managers will need to wait until Gamerweek 6 when the Bournemouth fixtures turn for the better.
Second bottom of the Fixture Ticker: Palace
Like Bournemouth, Palace also face Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Villa in the opening five Gameweeks. Their final match of this period is against Brentford. Palace provided FPL managers with a number of positive options in the 2021/22 season. However with a difficult run of fixtures to start the season they will be low on managers investment lists.
Third bottom of the Fixture Ticker: Southampton
Southampton faced Spurs, Leeds, Leicester, Man United and Chelsea in their opening five matches. With rumours surrounding whether their captain James Ward-Prowse FPL managers will need to consider investing in the Saints carefully. The Southampton fixtures inmprove between Gameweek 6 and 12, with the exception of a game with Man City. So FPL managers could monitor the Saints assets in the opening weeks with a view to investing later.
Fourth bottom of the Fixture Ticker: Newcastle
Newcastle face Forest and Brighton in the opening two matches, these look promising. However after this they play Man City, Wolves and Liverpool. If there are some good budget enablers at Newcastle, or players who rotate well, then the Magpie’s could still be investable. However there are likely to be other teams that FPL managers prioritise based on the fixtures.
Fifth bottom of the Fixture Ticker: Notting Forest
Like Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest also have difficult fixtures for their return to the Premier League. Forest face Newcastle, West Ham, Everton, Spurs and Man City in the oping five Gameweeks. FPL managers will have been hoping for a great start to the season with plenty of appealing opens from the play-off winning team. However, managers may now want to invest less heavily or use their Forest players as bench options in the early fixtures of the campaign.
The FFScout Fixture Ticker is already populated ahead of the new season. It is the perfect tool to aid your FPL pre launch planning and consider the best teams and players to target.
