World Cup Fantasy community reactions in Matchday 5

Last modified date

The World Cup is progressing! The groups are complete and many within the community will be reacting to all of the key moments that have happened so far. We delve into Twitter and check out some of the best World Cup Fantasy community reactions in Matchday 5.

Checking out the community reactions in Matchday 5 can be really beneficial to World Cup Fantasy managers. Community reactions can highlight things like line-ups, performances and key moments that could have a major impact on our fantasy teams.

@DonieFpl

At the time of writing Donie is ranked amongst the top 10 managers in the world for World Cup Fantasy. The high flier has had a fantastic campaign so far and made a huge decision ahead of Matchday 5. He sold Kylian Mbappe and replaced him with Neymar.

Brazil faced a tough Croatia side in the quarter finals and ended up losing the penalty shootout. However, Donie’s move, so far, has been a successful one as Neymar scored a goal in extra time to secure him a nice return in World Cup Fantasy.

@FPLReaction

Fantasy Football Scout and Fantasy Football Community contributor @FPLReaction (Louis) tweeted that he wanted a Croatia goal during Matchday 5. Unlike Louis, many within the community backed the Brazil defensive assets.

Fortunately for Louis, Croatia scored a last gasp equaliser within extra time. Croatia then went onto win the penalty shootout so not only did Brazil fail to keep a clean sheets, but many managers will have replace the assets they brought in for the semi finals.

@FPL_ElStatto

Fantasy Football Scout contributor El Statto was one of the many to tweet about Morocco this week. The African have had a fantastic campaign beating the likes of Belgium, Spain and Portugal in the process. However, its not been a great ride for Fantasy managers.

Many within the community have backed opposition assets when playing against Morocco. In their most recent upset, Morocco beat 1-0 in their match against Portugal when flocks of managers backed the Portugal defence. Following the results, they all blanked and Rafael Guerriero even came off after half time.

@FlapjackFpl

Fantasy Football Twitter contributor @FlapjackFPL has had success. At the time of writing he is ranked 188th in the world and has had a fantastic campaign. Many World Cup Fantasy managers excluded striker Harry Kane from their teams.

England were beat 2-1 by France in their quarter final face-off but Harry Kane still finished his campaign with a nice return. The England man managed to score from the penalty spot, however it should have been more as he also missed his second penalty.
