World Cup Fantasy best France picks
The 2022 World Cup in Qatar is closing in. The Official Fantasy game has now officially released for managers to build their teams and look at all of the player prices available. With that in mind we look at the World Cup Fantasy best France picks.
Fantasy managers will be hoping to get a better idea of which players they could target ahead of building their squads. France are amongst the top teams as favourites to win the tournament. For that reason, it could be important go through the best France picks in the game.
Kylian Mbappe
Kylian Mbappe’s high price-tag (£11.5m) can be easily justified. The Frenchman’s domestic league form is up there with some of the best in Europe. Last season, Mbappe managed to bag 28 goals and 17 assists. His numbers totalled up to 45 attacking returns in 35 matches.
That fantastic form above has continued this season. After just 13 matches, Mbappe has already notched up 11 goals and two assists in his current domestic campaign. The attacker also showed he could dazzle for country. In the World Cup qualifiers Mbappe scored five goals and created two assists in his six matches.
Karim Benzema
Two of the four most expensive players in World Cup Fantasy play for France. Karim Benzema comes in with a £11m price-tag. The Real Madrid frontman has been unable to play for his country for a long time due to personal reasons, but Benzema still has the motivation to score and is still arguably one of the best strikers in Europe.
Last season for Real Madrid, Benzema had one of his best campaigns in his career. The forward netted 27 goals and created 12 assists in his 31 domestic League matches. Benzema also scored a whopping 15 goals in his 12 Champions League matches.
Theo Hernandez
France could be worth a defensive investment. They face some of the worst attacks in the World Cup group stages against Tunisia and Australia. One of the defenders that should be considered is AC Milan star Theo Hernandez.
Hernandez could be seen as one of the most attacking defenders in the French side. The left back has already picked up two goals and two assists in his domestic campaign so far, which could be seen as a good reflection of his offensive potential. At £5.5m, Hernandez comes in at a very fair price.
