Notes
- I lost three players in the previous round due to France’ exit at the hands of Germany.
- I’m going big on the teams I think will reach the final this week: Spain and England. Well, as big as I can considering I already had nine players between the sides.
- My first transfers will be used to get rid of players who won’t play. Two of the players I lost were France strikers, so I’m probably going to replace them with England’ Lauren James and Italy’ Cristiana Girelli. England are capable of scoring plenty of goals and James can be super impactful. I also think England can leak goals, so Girelli feels like a great option just to be safe.
- I have three Spain attackers and whilst I want four, you can only own six players from each team at this point. Their recent clean sheet showed me that I need to own more of their backline, so I have gone with Olga in replacement of France’ Karchaoui to double up. I think three Spain defenders and three Spain attackers could be a good split, so without having to make moves elsewhere I’m also switching the Spain goalkeepers over. Naclares didn’t play in the last match, so assuming Coll starts ahead of her again I’ll go for her.
- My other transfer is going to go to Italy’ Salvai. She hasn’t exited and isn’t injured, but I think England will score and advance. For that reason, and to triple up on the England backline I’ll likely add in Leah Williamson because of her ball recovery potential.
- I am tempted to fit in the Spain striker Gonzalez, but I would have to sacrifice one of their defenders.
- Captaincy is going to be tough. I think most will go for Russo on the first night. I think she’s the standout too, but like me if you want to gain rank, go for someone else. I may end up on Stanway or Bronze. Tomorrow will likely be Putellas. She is too good to not back with the armband!
- Good luck everyone!
