Notes
- My wildcard is active! So, have made plenty of changes.
- This week is quite tough. Whilst we should see rotation, we also have to be careful that we aren’t bringing in much worse assets for good assets who may not play with high ownership. There needs to be a balance, and I have tried to do that here.
- Denmark and England have good defensive fixtures, so both Maja Ostergaard and Hannah Hampton make the cut. England don’t have loads of great options to be honest, so picking their goalkeeper is fine.
- Doubling up on the England defence, I have kept Lucy Bronze. I have also kept Spain’ Ona Batlle based on the lack of convincing options elsewhere and because they are the best team in the competition.
- Completing defence is Norway’ Tuva Hansen, Switzerland’ Nadine Riesen and Portugal’ Diana Gomes. The latter scored in her latest match.
- In midfield I have decided to keep the relentless Alex Putellas of Spain and Germany’ impressive Klara Buhl. The lack of midfield options has also led me to picking Sweden’ Filippa Angeldahl who has been excellent. Switzerland’ Gerladine Reuteler has a great fixture and has managed back-to-back player of the match awards. Joining her and completing my Spain double up in attack is Aitana Bonmati who should start.
- I have swapped out my whole frontline, with Alessia Russo of England, Denmark’ Pernille Harder and Diana Silva of Portugal. Silva and Harder feel like very good punts this week considering their fixtures.
- Captaincy could look like Reuteler on Thursday, Bonmati on Friday, Harder on Saturday and Russo on Sunday.
- This draft could well change, but I do like it! Good luck this week!
