Who had the best stats in Gameweek 17

We look at who had the best stats in Gameweek 17. Using the Fantasy Football Scout members area, we take a look at some of the players that topped the key attacking stats from the latest round in FPL. Stats will include underlying data points like shots on target, chances created and other important stats to give us an indication of which players did well.

Looking at who had the best stats in Gameweek 17 can indicate which players did well. Even if the players who topped the stats didn’t return any points. This can be a good sign that the players were close to returning. FPL managers are always on the lookout for assets that could potentially return in the future. This could help with that.

Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland (£12.2m) sits as the highest scoring and highest owned player in the game. The strikers relentless form tallies up to 20 goals and three assists in just 14 matches so far. Erling Haaland is maintaining some fantastic stats as well and that didn’t change in Gameweek 17.

Amongst all players in the league, the Manchester City striker ranks first for total attempts on goal (eight), joint first for shots in the box (seven) and second for big chances total (three). Haaland was rewarded for his fantastic stats with two goals, three bonus and a 13-point return in FPL.

Aleksander Mitrovic

There were doubts over Aleksander Mitrovic’s (£6.9m) fitness going into Gameweek 17. Because of that, many managers within the community sold the striker ahead of his match against Crystal Palace. However, Mitrovic started the game and inevitably punished his sellers.

Amongst all players in the league in Gameweek 17, Mitrovic ranks second for attempts on goal (seven), joint first for shots in the box (seven) and first for headed attempts on goal (five). He picked up his rewards as he scored, created two assists, picked up three bonus and landed a whopping 15 points in FPL.

Darwin Nunez

The loss through injury of Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz has meant Darwin Nunez (£9m) looks set to maintain his place amongst starting 11. The Reds beat Aston Villa 3-1 in Gameweek 17 and the striker put up some brilliant stats.

Amongst all players in the league this week, Nunez ranks joint third for attempts on goal (six), joint second for attempts inside the box (five) and first for big chances total (four). The striker failed to convert his top stats into FPL points. Nunez managed just two points in Gameweek 17.

Andreas Pereira

It was a big week for Fulham. The newly promoted side dismantled Crystal Palace in their 3-0 win. For that reason, the Fulham players put up some great stats. Another standout selection at Fulham is Andreas Pereira (£4.6m).

The budget midfielder was fantastic overall during the game. That was also reflected in his stats. Amongst all players in the league this week Andreas Pereira ranks joint second for crosses (nine), first for successful crosses (six) and first for chances created (six). Pereira failed to convert his solid stats into FPL points, returning just three.
