Key talking points
The panel are unanimous in their feelings that Liverpool and Arsenal will win at home in their second matches of Gameweek 25. They also all believe that Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal will win away. The majority of the panel also believe Spurs v Chelsea will be a 1-1 draw, with FPL Shake n Bake believing Spurs will win 2-1. Spurs have not beaten Chelsea in their last five meetings in the Premier League.
The panel are predicting 15 clean sheets this week. They all believe Arsenal will keep a clean sheet against Everton, and Man City will clean sheet against Bournemouth. The majority of the panel also believe Liverpool, will keep a clean sheet. Therefore these could be the best defences for FPL managers to invest in. However, the panel aren’t predicting many clean sheets in the other matches. Therefore taking a hit for a defender outside of these clubs may not pay off.
Between them the panel have predicted 94 goals will be scored. Arsenal and Liverpool are predicted to score the most goals. These are two of the teams who have two fixtures in Gameweek 25. Man City are also predicted to be high scoring this weekend. This could make the forward thinking players from Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal attractive options.
FPL Comments
With two clean sheets in the last two Liverpool’s defence are looking better. In addition with an assist, and another harshly ruled out (in my opinion) there’s an old FPL favourite back on my wishlist. Trent Alexander-Arnold could be a great pick for Gameweek 25. I’m also tempted to take a hit and bring in teammate Cody Gakpo. The Liverpool midfielder has got two goals in his last two matches. I think it’s a good week to really target the doubles.
