Due a goal in Gameweek 36
We still have Chelsea v Spurs left in Double Gameweek 35 but none of their players appear here.
Another pair of Kai Havertz returns in Sunday’s North London derby made it eight goals, six assists and six double-digit hauls from 11 matches. In fact, since Gameweek 25, no player betters the German’s 100 points. So he’s certainly not underachieving.
Liverpool trio Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez disappear from the list, with the latter pair being demoted to two of their last three benches. Dual assists for Anthony Gordon means that 22 of his 25 attacking returns have come at St James’ Park.
Three names remain from last time. On the weekend scoresheet, Rodrigo Muniz has received so many chances for more. Man City’s Julian Alvarez netted in midweek but was quiet at Nottingham Forest, whereas opponent Chris Wood missed a couple of huge chances.
Meanwhile, Ivan Toney reappeared in Brentford’s line-up after injury but extended his goalless streak to eight starts.
Ben Brereton Diaz is being fairly productive at Sheffield United. Five goals in 11 appearances but none of Saturday’s five shots in the box could prevent the Blades’ relegation.
Yet Burnley are still fighting valiantly to stay up and recorded 16 shots in a draw at Man United. At the other end, their hosts racked up 27 attempts and seven big chances. Four of the latter came from Antony, who eventually bagged his first goal of the season.
Team-mate Alejandro Garnacho wasn’t able to score past either these or Sheffield United, despite 31 touches and 12 shots inside the penalty area, plus three big chances.
