Due a goal in Gameweek 33
There have been two rounds of fixture since the last catch-up, which has given Erling Haaland (£14.3m) plenty of time to get back on track. Unused against Aston Villa, he returned to Man City’s starting line-up to net at Crystal Palace.
Yet both Raheem Sterling (£6.9m) and Mohammed Kudus (£6.8m) have disappeared from being due. The Chelsea midfielder remained benched on Sunday, meaning he’s only started one of their last four. As for the West Ham man, he racked up 10 shots in this period but they accumulated a low xG (0.6) and none were big chances.
One name remains – Ivan Toney (£8.1m). A minor injury restricted him to a weekend cameo but he was goalless in the seven before that, ensuring he enters attractive fixtures against Sheffield United and Luton in terrible form.
Elsewhere, Julian Alvarez (£6.4m) started Man City’s first 25 league matches but just three of their last six. He should be avoided by FPL managers.
Darwin Nunez (£7.7m) is popular ahead of Double Gameweek 34. The Uruguayan may only have one goal in four but he’s ticking away with attacking returns – Sunday’s assist makes it two blanks from the last 12 outings. Team-mate Dominik Szoboszlai (£7.1m) has one return from nine but racked up a couple of big chances versus Man United.
Another player who could enter teams for Double 34 is Eberechi Eze (£6.0m). His five post-injury appearances have produced one assist, one goal and another that was ruled out by VAR.
But one surprise entry is Harry Maguire (£4.2m). Man United’s cheap FPL defender ended with headed attempts in each of his last four, including three big chances at home to Fulham in Gameweek 26.
