Best Points Per 90 FPL Players from 2024/25

Now that the 2024/25 FPL campaign has ended, are you wondering which players brought in the most points per 90 minutes?
After all, we know the main numbers. Mohamed Salah broke the FPL record for all-time points – previously set by himself – while four other players netted at least 20 times. Josko Gvardiol was the top-scoring defender on 153 points.

But these basics hinder the individuals who’ve had to spend time on the sidelines. Bukayo Saka immediately comes to mind.
So let’s instead see which players produced points at the best rate.
FILTERS
This data comes from Fantasy Football Scout’s Members Area. Firstly, we have to apply some rules when answering such a question.
Remove those that played only one minute throughout the season and therefore have a rate of 90.0. In fact, to make this list, at least a third of the 38 possible occasions must have been from the start.
Otherwise, players under this 13-match minimum are skewing the statistics too much. Their game time has been restricted for whatever reason, but there needs to be some sort of consistency.
MOST FPL POINTS PER 90 MINUTES

Under this criterion, 43 players have at least 5.00 points per 90. To the surprise of nobody, Salah is ahead by quite a distance, thanks to a gigantic 47 attacking returns.
Then, it’s Alexander Isak. While Newcastle’s star forward had a slow beginning and looked unfit by the end, there were 18 outings between Gameweeks 9 and 26 where he racked up 18 goals and four assists. He’s one of only four forwards inside the top 16.
Elsewhere, Saka started only 20 times yet sits third for big chances created (21). Liverpool’s Diogo Jota did well when called upon but ultimately had too much competition for places. Former Leicester teammates James Maddison and Harvey Barnes are up there, too.
Amad Diallo reminded FPL managers in the final fortnight about how electrifying he was before a two-month ankle injury. Similarly, Dwight McNeil missed a lot of time with knee problems after collecting three goals and three assists by the end of Gameweek 8.
WHAT ABOUT DEFENDERS?
Perhaps you’ve noticed that the only defender there is the about-to-depart Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Even worse, second-placed Kieran Trippier‘s contract is about to expire. We don’t yet know if he’ll stay at Newcastle or depart. 2024/25 was nowhere near the level of his previous two seasons, which combined for 19 assists and over 300 points. Before Gameweek 28, he was out of favour, armed with only six league starts.
Ashley Young‘s contract is up too but, in between, Arsenal’s Gabriel showed once more why he’s regarded as an elite FPL defender. Gvardiol bagged five goals, while a pre-injury Lewis Hall had six assists and five clean sheets in the period from Gameweeks 16 to 26.
