What to expect from the Gameweek 37 fixtures

With Gameweek 36 underway it’s time to turn our attention to Gameweek 37. Gameweek 37 is a another Double Gameweek with five teams scheduled to play twice. We take a look through what to expect from all of the Gameweek 37 fixtures.

All of the stats in this article include data up to and including Gameweek 35.

Gameweek 37 fixtures: Tottenham v Burnley

There have been 15 previous meetings in the Premier League between Tottenham and Burnley. Burnley won the reverse of this fixture in Gameweek 26 by one goal to nil. Spurs have won nine of the fixtures, Burnley three and there have been three draws.

Spurs have taken three points from three of the last five Premier League matches between the sides and there has been one draw.

Spurs have kept 13 clean sheets this season, in comparison to nine for Burnley. Although Burnley did keep a clean sheet in the reverse of this fixture.

Gameweek 37: Aston Villa v Crystal Palace

There have been 19 previous meetings in the Premier League between Aston Villa and Crystal Palace. Both teams have won seven times and there have been five draws. Aston Villa won the reverse of this fixture earlier on in the season by two goals to one.

Aston Villa ended their losing streak in Gameweek 33 and built on this with victory in Gameweek 35. Palace have won two, drawn one and lost two in their last five Premier League matches.

Across these two teams Wilf Zaha is the top goal scorer with 12. Ollie Watkins is second with nine and Connor Gallagher is third with eight. Danny Ings is top for assists with six, Emi Buendia is second with five and Micheal Olise is third with five.

On average this season Villa create 1.15 chances per match, just more than the 1.15 that Palace create on average.

Defensively Villa have kept 11 clean sheets this season, one more than the 10 Palace have kept.

Gameweek 37 fixtures: Leeds v Brighton

There have been three previous meetings in the Premier League between Leeds and Brighton. Brighton have won two matches and there has been one draws.

The reverse of this fixture finished in a 0-0 draw.

On average this season Brighton create 1.17 chances per match, just more than the 1.12 Leeds create on average. However Leeds have been more creative since the arrival of their new manager.

Defensively Brighton have kept 10 clean sheets this season, in comparison to five for Leeds.

Gameweek 37: Watford v Leicester

There have been 13 matches between these two teams in the Premier League. Leicester have won eight, Watford have won three and there have been two draws. Leicester have won three of the last five fixtures between these two sides in the Premier League. The other two matches saw Watford win one and one draw.

Watford have failed to win in any of their last five Premier League matches. Leicester have failed to win any of their last four Premier League matches ahead of Gameweek 36.

Across these two teams Emmanuel Dennis and Jamie Vardyare tied top for the most goals with 10. James Maddison is third with eight. Dennis and Harvey Barnes are tied top for assists this season with six, Kiko Femeniais third with three.

On average this season Watford create 1.29 chances per match. Leicester create on average 1.09 chances per match.

Defensively Leicester have kept six clean sheets this season, in comparison to just three for Watford.

Gameweek 37: West Ham v Man City

There have been 41 meetings in the Premier League between West Ham and Manchester City. City have won 25 times, West Ham nine, and there have been seven draws.

The Manchester side have won four of the last five meetings between the two clubs in the league.

Manchester City have won four of their last five fixtures in the Premier League, only dropping points in the draw with Liverpool. West Ham however have not won in their last four Premier League matches.

Across these two teams Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez are the top scorers with 11 goals. BJarrod Bowen is third with 10 goals this season. Bowen is also top for assists with eight, tied with Man City’s Gabriel Jesus. Michail Anotion is third with seven.

On average City create 2.21 chances per match. In contrast West Ham create 1.43 chances on average.

Man City have kept 20 clean sheets in comparison to seven for West Ham.

Only three players have more double digit hauls than Bowen this season.

Gameweek 37: Wolves v Norwich

There have been five previous meetings in the Premier League between Wolves and Norwich. Wolves have won twice, Norwich once and there have been two draws.

Brentford have kept eight clean sheets this season. Everton in comparison have kept seven.

Gameweek 37: Newcastle v Arsenal

There have been 53 previous meetings in the Premier League between Newcastle and Arsenal. Arsenal have won 33 of the matches, Newcastle 10 and there have been 10 draws.

Arsenal have won all of the last five meetings between these clubs in the Premier League, including a 2-0 victory in the reverse of this fixture earlier on in the season.
