WCOFF 2019 – Recap after the first round
The 1st Gameweek of Fanteam’s World Championship of Fantasy Football 2019, which has a prizepool of €116,000, is over.
The prizepool extended the guaranteed €100,000 as 116 users entered in total. This is a new record when it comes to Daily Fantasy Premier League!
Somewhat surprisingly, DFS newcomer fscottl is at the top right now, leading with 88 points. Second is DFS routinier gaffel, who is in the top 10 with 2 teams. On place 3 is currently jabbajabba. In order to reach the top of the table after the first gameweek, you needed the defensive of Brighton, Watford or Crystal Palace, complemented by a top defender from City or Liverpool. Up front De Bruyne (13 points), Calvert-Lewin (11 points), Deeney (11 points) or Mane (10 points) would have been the right choice. The biggest disappointment on matchday 1 was Mo Salah. Almost 30% of the WCOFF participants trusted him, 18% even sent him into the race as captain. In the end, the Egyptian scored only 5 points and thus remained far behind expectations. Already at the 1st of January the second and decisive matchday continues. It will be exciting to see if the top placed players of the 1st matchday can confirm their performance or if someone else from no man’s land can catapult themselves forward. We will be live on Twitch and follow the action. Check out the teams of our highrollers from WCOFF at 13:30 CET to get some inspiration for your New Year Monster teams!
