Upcoming Fixture Swings in FPL

Last modified date

In this article we dive into the upcoming fixture swings in FPL, highlighting both the teams that are heading into a positive run of fixtures and the teams going into a negative run of fixtures. To do this we head over to the Fantasy Football Scout members area and use its excellent fixture ticker.

Identifying the upcoming fixture swings in FPL can be very helpful. Knowing which teams we should invest in and which teams we should avoid can be crucial, especially when considering factors like transfers, captaincy and chip strategy.

Positive Fixture Swings

Arsenal are one of many sides coming into a positive fixture swing. The Gooners recently faced Liverpool, Newcastle and Chelsea in their last three Gameweeks, but as we can see, their fixtures turn for the better.

Fulham, West Ham, Everton and Crystal Palace are amongst the teams Arsenal face in upcoming Gameweeks. This could spark interest and drive up sales for assets like midfielder Bukayo Saka (£10.1m) and centre-back Gabriel (£6.1m).

Upcoming Fixture Swings in FPL

Unai Emery’s men are also heading into a very good fixture list. Aston Villa have struggled for form recently – winning just one of their last six league matches. This could have been due to awkward fixtures against teams like Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United.

Meetings with Chelsea and Manchester City may be tough, but with teams like Brentford, Crystal Palace and Southampton ahead, their could be plenty of potential there for the likes of striker Ollie Watkins (£9m) and midfielder Morgan Rogers (£5.4m).

Brighton assets could soon become a huge interest for the community again. The Seagulls will be happy to put their tough matches against Liverpool and Manchester City behind them, especially with the fixtures below ahead.

Sitting third in the league, Chelsea have some great fixtures ahead. Meetings with Newcastle, Manchester United and Arsenal proved difficult, but the Blues play two of the three promoted sides in their next three matches.

Upcoming Fixture Swings in FPL

Bournemouth, Liverpool and Newcastle are three more sides who have favourable fixtures ahead. Check out their schedules using the fixture ticker.

Negative Fixture Swings

An excellent start to the season has seen Nottingham Forest reside amongst the top five placed teams in the Premier League. After losing a recent match to Newcastle, their schedule doesn’t get much better.

In fact, meetings with Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Aston Villa in their upcoming schedule could be hugely limiting for their fantasy assets. One of those assets is popular striker Chris Wood (£6.6m).

Another side who could become less popular in regards to investment is Everton. Sean Dyche’s men are winless in their last three matches, and combined with their recent loss against Southampton, things aren’t looking as stable as they did.

We could see their bleak run of form continue into the period ahead. The Toffees face Brentford next, but then Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea after that.

With the above in mind, disappointing assets like midfielder Dwight McNeil (£5.7m) and striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.8m) could see a sharp drop in ownership.

Upcoming Fixture Swings in FPL

Other sides who could fall short in terms of FPL potential over the next Gameweeks include: Crystal Palace, Fulham and Tottenham.
