UEFA Champions League knockout phase play-off draw

The UEFA Champions League knockout phase play-off draw is finally here!

The 2024/25 campaign sees a new knock-out phase. Eight sides have already automatically joined the round of 16 after claiming a top eight place in the league phase round.

Meanwhile, the sides who finished between ninth and 24th will compete in a two-legged around to secure a path to the last 16.

From the knockout phase play-offs onwards, the tournament is a bracket. The teams that finish the league phase between ninth and 16th will be seeded for the first draw of the knockout phase and will face a team placed 17th to 24th. The seeded team will, in principle, play the return leg at home.
