Goalkeepers

Finding a goalkeeper pairing that rotates all of the way to Matchday 8 is difficult. However, Atalanta’ Marco Carnesecchi (€4.5m) and Napoli’ Vanja Milinkovic-Savic (€4m) provide that. Both play for very good sides who have a very good long-term schedule.

Defenders

Taking into account Arsenal’ excellent defensive form, and his recent attacking output, centre-back Gabriel (€5.5m) should be a shoo-in.

Inter have also kept three clean sheets so far. In addition, they have flying wing-back Denzel Dumfries (€6.1m) at their disposal, who has scored in two of his three Champions League matches.

Another Italian side who have great fixtures is Juventus. Although not exactly consistent for clean sheets, buying into wing-back Andrea Cambiaso (€4.9m) can offer both defensive and offensive potential.

Villarreal are about to come into a great run of fixtures, starting with Pafos up next. A regular starter for the La Liga team, is full-back Santiago Mourinho (€4m).

Newcastle have also shown their defensive strength this season – keeping two clean sheets so far. One of their safest options for minutes is Dan Burn (€4.6m).

Midfielders

Arsenal are one of few teams that have won all of their UCL matches so far. If on the team sheet prior to the deadline, then Bukayo Saka (€9.5m) is arguably their best option. He also offers captaincy potential in the upcoming rounds.

Barcelona attacking investment, with their fixtures ahead, is arguably essential. Their safest option for minutes long-term is star Lamine Yamal (€9.9m).

Marseille are exceptional at home. The French side are unbeaten there this season, and have managed at least two goals at home in all but one of their matches. Bagging a double-digit haul in each of their previous two CL games is Igor Paixao (€6.2m).

Monaco are another side coming into an appealing run of fixtures – facing Bodo/Glimt, Pafos and Galatasaray in their next three outings. Rotation is rife in attack, but Maghnes Akliouche (€5m) remains a main-stay.

Although quiet in the Premier League, penalty taker Anthony Gordon (€7.1m) has been one of the best performing midfielders in the game this season. He also has good fixtures ahead.

Forwards

Two home matches ahead makes Manchester City are very appealing side to invest in in the period ahead. Leading the attack is of course the relentless Erling Haaland (€10.6m) who has scored in all three of his European matches.

Kylian Mbappe (€10.7m) has been in mesmerising form this season in all competitions. Whilst the match against Liverpool next may be off-putting for some, the Premier League side have managed two clean sheets domestically.

Galatasaray face Ajax, USG and Monaco in their next three fixtures, which could hold huge potential for penalty taker Victor Osimhen (€7.5m). Osimhen has produced a double-digit haul in each of his first two Champions League clashes.
